Mortgage and Insurance

I thought I had paid all Bad checks before i closed my account in 2007. I had TU do a dispute. Came back as Valid. It is listed on CR under Global Payments CHCK SVC. Do I contact them or the Business where I originally Wrote the bad check? How do I attempt a PFD? Is that even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in a position that I can pay this and will just want to make sure I can at least attempt to get this removed with payment.
