Is it legal for companies to charge a processing fee if your payment is due on the day u are making the payment? I had a payment due today and when i made it i was charged a 10.00 processing fee even though i paid before the end of the business day. my statement said that hte paayment was due by 2pm today and i paid at 3pm. I know that under the new law they cannot charge a late fee if paid before 5pm the close of business. Why would they be allowed to charge a processing fee if paid on the due date?
Just curious how the banks are dealing with CLI for those of who are under 21 since the new credit card act. I have a couple of cards that should be eligible for CLI’s in March but I am afraid to call…I can’t find any information on who this new CC act effects CC holders who already had cards but are under 21.

Hello all, I’ve been roaming these forums for about a year now when I got my first credit card. I’ve learned a lot from all of you, especially from the horror stories 
. Really makes me feel cautious about my habits. I know being 19 with a credit card might be seen as being risky but I know that walking in a straight line now, can make a lot of things easier in the future.

Finally signed up to check my fico score since the credit card act is coming into full effect very soon and wanted to apply for a card or two( I only have 1 cc 1500 cl and 1 store card 1900 cl). I was thinking something like Citi Forward pokey pokey . Seems like the perfect card for a college student and pretty much all my spending habits revolve around books,music and food. I was also considering a amex charge card. I know people here are pretty hate them or love them. I’m only considering it if they still have me in their system as an AU in 09. Saves me the new account ding correct? Advice? Recommendations? I was thinking about the 2% scwab but I don’t see myself using it to its full potential with my current spending habits. I can also join NFCU. Thoughts on that?

Also I was always under the impression that student loans don’t fall under account balances since its an installment loan. So pretty much everything falls under account balances? Atm 3 accounts under account balances. I’ve been an AU for a amex for a few months now and its not there so thats why I’m asking if the 3rd account is the student loan.

I also have my arteries and heart stents. I need insurance 25 million profit 1 30yr loan.
