So I successfully jack attacked Midland off of my EQ report recently and now I am working on getting it off of EX & TU mainly EX being that I am an Amex Optima holder and have aspirations for changing products in the near future, anyway, I have DV’d Midland several times and they never respond they only send me that silly azz settlement/payment plan letter, so on my recent Jack Attack to EX which resulted in a shell of an account to be left EX mailed out to me the information they received from Midland :stop: WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP, look at this mess, this is what they are claiming the history is, these clowns are soooo dumb they can’t even figure out what their fees are on a consistent basis, someone please review this hot mess and tell me I have a violation working in my favor.

Started back first part of December with a score of Exp. 612, TU 599, Eq. 597.  Sent out 3 GW letters and none came back in my favor.  Got 2 medical collections deleted that still showed a balance.  Got 4 consumer finance companies deleted that showed late payments.  (I got those removed before reading that I should have left alone for the longevity of the accounts).  Oh well there gone.  Got one CO removed early with a dispute.  Sent PFD letters to 6 medical collection accounts.  Heard back from 1 saying no way.  I did a DV with them and it showed I had already paid it back in 2008.  However,  they will not budge on deleting it from my CR.  I actually paid the OC back in 2008 and the information was sent to CA in 2007.  Heres where I need the advice…..Can I still do the HIPPA or is there any other options.  I have not pulled my numers cause I am waiting on a CO to drop off March of this year.  Also,  on the other 5 medical collections they have 5  more days to respond.  I know I did some off this out of order which may cost me but I did not read all of the forum  before I started.  So for the Newbies please read all the information and ask lots of questions before starting.  As stated so many times everyone on here has been very helpful and have helped turned around many lives and for that I say Thank You!

PS Called AM EX about an account thru an old job which was CO and got lucky.  the CSR said he would delete it from all 3 credit bureaus and send me a letter.  Hope he comes thru.

If anyone could give my some insight, I’d truly appreciate it.

I currently have a state tax lien on my credit report for about $2,100. It is for “unpaid” taxes from 2005, however these taxes were most definitely paid through my weekly paychecks. I did not realize at the time that when I filed my taxes online (e-file) that I was only filing federal taxes, not state taxes. I was young and didn’t understand, but I know that is just an excuse and doesn’t mean much.

I was completely unaware that there were ANY issues with my taxes until I got a myFICO alert in August of 2010 that a lien was placed on my credit report. I’ve worked for the last several years to rebuild my credit and thank god, purchased my home shortly before the lien was put on my report. The problem was, the state was sending all of the information regarding any proceedings to the address I lived in 2005. I’ve since lived in different locations and although I changed my address legally, had NO IDEA anything was going on until I saw this on my credit report.

I’ve since contacted the state, sent them a revised tax return, etc. I’ve taken all avenues to rectify the situation and am now waiting. Every time I call they tell me they are “behind” (naturally) and have received, but not yet reviewed, my information. I know it will be proven that I’ve paid my taxes, but is there any hope of having this removed from my credit report once everything is settled with the state? I am sick over this whole situation.

Thanks so much.

Pulled scores on December 07, 2010. TU fico was 606, EQ fico was 602, Ex fako was 566.

So far I have applied for a Capital One secured card, I was approved and the card is in the mail. Also I disputed an NCO CA that was only showing on the Experian report, it was deleted withing two days. I also initiated online diputes with TXU. Today I sent out four Direct Dispute/DV combo letters via certified mail with return receipt. I’ll update any results I recieve, good or bad, and hopefull so improvements in my scores aswell. Thanks for all the information that I’ve been given up to this point and all your help in the future.

So I am kindof just venting, but this sucks!! I had a judgment on my credit report. Long story short, I got it vacated and sent the CRA’s a coopy of the document and they removed it. I was very happy becuase it was suppose to stay on till 12/12. Now… there is another judgment on my CR, but this is not mine. The docket number is 14067 and mine before that was removed was 14087. Just one single digit off! Someone messed something up!

The weird thing is that the information listed is the same as my old one. I acyually looked up the docket number and sure enough it is in the name of someone else, but the same defendant and lawyer was used. I disputed this with the CRA’s as not mine, and it came back verified somehow. I don’t know why when it is not mine! They prolly think it is my old one they are seeing. I printed out the public form online and mailed them a dispute again. Transunion verified, EQ is removed, and stil waiting on EX.

We shall see what happens with EX, but what should I do with Transunion? I am thinking I should sent a MOV so I can find out who is suppling them the information so I can contact them to get it removed. Any other ideas on what I can do? This is clearly not mine, and they are not investigating it well. It should clearly show another person’s name for that docket number. AHH!!

Hey Everyone: I am newbie here after a scare with a shady debt collector that dinged my credit. Here is my latest issue: Chase bought my credit card account from WaMu, which bought it from Providian. My account is showing two 30 day lates in 2004, when it was Providian. Not a huge deal, I suppose, but it looks bad. Anyway, I asked Chase for records to validate these two 30 day-late payments, or remove them, as I don’t think I was ever late during that period. Chase respsponded that they would not remove them, but did not have any records to back up the late-pays. They said removing valid information would undermine the reporting process. But am I not entitled to ensure that information is accurate? How can they just say the information is valid with no records? How should I handle?

I was asked today if I knew what happens to a Collection which falls off CRA’s after the 7-71/2 year period.

I do understand that they still stay with your CRA’s file forever from what I have read with-out impacting your 7 year present history and scores and that was what I have told him.

Then he asked what happens after it is removed from his report and he wanted to make good on paying it off? Would it be reported again? Would it show as a negative? What would be the proper way to go about doing this?

I have no clue, nor have I found anything on this in the forums (not saying it isn’t on here somewhere) just I haven’t been able to find it or run across this type of question.

When in doubt I have always tried to look up information from this forum which has been of great help in the last few years. But to no avail I haven’t found anything in regards to this. If any one has any insight, knowledge, and or experience in this it would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you all for all the information and help you offer to every one on these forums.Â
