Best place to get fico and updates credit reports
I have been out of state but sent letters of dispute before I let to all bureuas, I got a letter stating that there were removed (2 accounts over 4000 bucks)from equifax.

Check or money order to pay settlement?
Received a settlement offer that will be accepted. "Payment is to be made in the form of Money Order, Personal Check, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check." What is the best form of payment to use? Personal Check would be the easiest since I wouldn't have to go to the bank but I thought that you should never send a CA a Personal Check. Any thoughts?? Thanks

determining if a CA is licensed in WA state
Hey all, I have a CA who just reported on my CR's who I don't believe is licensed in WA state. I cannot find anything on the secretary of state's website. Has anyone been through this before and is there a way to confirm that they are not licensed? What would be the best course of action in dealing with them if they are, in fact, not licensed in my state?

New to website have a couple of question.
I have been working on my credit. My scores have been as follows: 11/6/09 4/12/10 Ex 616 630 Eq 571 599 Trans 541 597 I had 2 charge cards that were maxed that I paid off today. Can I expect my scores to go up again. Also, I have 1 collection account showing as unpaid. What is the best way to handle that. Just pay it off, settle. Any ideas. Thanks

Student loans in collection
I am unemployed and my student loans are now in collection. What is the best thing to do if I cannot pay anything right now? I was surprised that they went into collection because they are government loans. I thought that the government would take your tax return in payment for student loans and take money out of your paycheck, I didn't realize they would use a collection agency?
