^^I am planning to relocate to anyone of the following states within a metro of atleast 100,000:

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Georgia
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky (Not Corbin or Bowling Green)
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri
Nebraska
Nevada
North Carolina
Ohio (not Cincinatti)
Oklahoma
Oregon
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

(I know, not very specific)

purchase budget: $ 5000 or less (tax liens [absolute deed only] are acceptable; desirable, in fact), $ 1,000 down
lot rent: $ <250

I am interested in buying a tax lien on a mobile home in 2009 or 2010 for personal use; with a PURCHASE budget of $ 500-4,000. (not including lot rent)

I’m looking for a single-wide, and I only need one bedroom and one bathroom, though I’m sure I’ll get more than that.

I’m interested in metro’s with at least 150,000 people in any of the following states: minnesota, wisconsin, tennessee, alabama, arkansas, oklahoma, texas, kansas, nebraska, missouri, iowa, new mexico, arizona, nevada, oregon, washington, and california.

So, to ensure that I get my title right on the spot (if I understand this all correctly), which of these states do NOT have the right of redemption law applying to government sold tax liens?
…and west virginia, virginia, and mississippi

I am not sure if someone else on here has already said this, but the goverment recently changed the rules for tax liens and offers in compromise.

The information can be found at the IRS website. Basically, if you have a lien, you can get it withdrawn from your credit reports.

Just follow the new information and the will withdraw it after 3 months. (which is way better than them saying paid in full)

Does anyone have experience with tax liens on their cr? I have 2 IRS liens filed 3/2002. The tax was asessed in 1999, so the collection process is over. I read somewhere that Eq and TU drop it after 15 yrs. and EX never drops an unpaid lien. My TU score is 735. I have 2 cards pif monthly. I’m trying to get to 750. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have been working on my credit report for quite a while and need to make faster progress on raising my FICO score.  Which should I get rid of/work on first?

1. Paying off my 2 tax liens;

2. Lowering my student loan balance;

3. Paying off my active credit card; or

4. Paying off my closed credit cards.

Thanks!

I have (3) tax liens from prior years (02,03, & 04) and (2) have been released. The 02 was whiped out in BK, 03 Lien Survived BK, and 04 has been paid. I have not paid off the 03 Tax Lien out of laziness and because the state is not allowed to collect on it. I am afraid because of my lack to pay it off that it is hurting my credit score. Currently my EQ cr is stating released on 2007, the Experian is stating NA on released day, and I have not checked the TU yet. Two questions here 1) is the tax lien hurting the credit score by not being satisfied and 2) how long do tax liens stay on CR?

Thank you in advance for all your help and advice.
