Mortgage and Insurance

Hi everybody,

I have some questions AND I would like to ask you all for some feedback regarding this letter.  It is a GW letter asking for deletion of TL on an account I’ve already paid.

1) Is it ok, would you add/change something?  How is the wording?

2) On my credit report, I do not have the full account number listed, will that be sufficient information for them to find my account?

3) I moved two months ago, should I include my old street address?

4) Anything else that I missed???

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to request your understanding and help.  During the time that I had my credit card with Lowe’s, I was a new mom, working part time, and going through what I now call my “stupid credit phase.”  I did not keep up with the payments, and the account was sold to your company.

 

Now that I am employed in a good job full time, I paid the account in July 2009.  I am working hard to pay for the mistakes I made during my “broke and stupid credit phase,” and improve my credit score in order to be able to obtain a mortgage for my family’s first home.  The account is shown as “Paid” but reporting as a collection account and hurting my credit score.  I am close to having a high enough score to obtain a mortgage loan.

 

I would like to request that your company have some mercy on me and please make a “Goodwill Adjustment” and remove the account from all of the credit reporting agencies.  Your kind gesture would be sincerely appreciated by my family and me.  Thank you in advance for any help you may provide.  You may contact me through my address listed above or email me at my_email.  Thank you again!
