Recently pulled my credit report and was shocked to see a medical bill still listed with a CA when they agreed over a yr. ago to delete. When I contacted the CA they said they had deleted and had no idea why it would still be listed on my credit report. They suggested I contacted Equifax. Does anyone know if that is what I should do?
Ok, so I have a couple accounts still listed on my EX CR that are charged off. The date they have it to be removed is 7 years from the DOFD. According to the NYS FCRA they should be removed in 5 years from the DOFD because they are charge offs and that is NYS law. BTW they are paid, not in full, but paid.

My question is, how should I dispute this? What should I say, and how should I say it in a letter to them? Also, should I send it to them now asking to them change the date of removal date, or wait until the 5 years are up and then contact them about it? EQ and TU have the accounts marked to removed at the correct dates following the NY FCRA.

I have read some articles which saw EX is HORRIBLE about following the NYS law. I even read that they think it has to be paid in full in order to apply when thats not what the law says. It just says paid. Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you handle it? Thx!
I am disputing an account with Transunion. I just pulled my fico score here and the account is still listed under collections but the report date has changed to October 18th. Can a account being disputed still update the report dates?
Well over 30 days ago i DVed a collection account but as of yet i have not received a response back. Now im a bit lost as to my next step in this process, would it be to pull my credit reports and see if the account is still listed on them and dispute them?
