The states are bankrupt,fees will go up,taxes are next,the states will bleed you dry,you can bet on it,75% of your income is taxed and retaxed,directly and indirectly,you have to live within a budget,why not them?

Do you go by the state you live in, or the state that you opened the acct? Here is my situation.. I have never changed my permanent residence from Mississippi (sol 3 yrs) but the acct that is in collections was open in Pennsylvania (walmart discover card) wherein lived for a few months with a friend. The original balance was around 2500, the collection acct is for over 4000. It has only been around 2 years, so not past either states sol. I do not have the money to pay either amt in full, and am not sure what step should take first. Should I contact the collection agency to set up payments? Or save the money and try a pfd letter? If send a pfd and the refuse it, am I looking at a better shot of being sued? This is my only big negative on my cr and really want it taken care of.. its killing me!
I just checked my credit report today and found a new collection account from a doctors office listed on my report.  This states that it was from 2005 and is now being collected through an agency.  I received the one and only phone call I have ever received about this last night. I returned the call and left a message, but as of yet have not heard back from them. I have never received anything in the mail about this.  I have no idea what to do !  Do I pay it, or will that keep it as a negative mark on my report for another 7 years.  It has dropped my credit score which I have been trying to rebuild. Â
And then who will be responsible if you are a casual driver is causing the insurance, if you do not need a car insurance is as striking, if so, from the national to the state.
