Hello all, would paying more on my rehabilitation student loans hurt me more than a help to me? The amount of money they requested that I pay each month on a certain day I can actually pay more sometimes. I would love to pay more but I don’t want this to come back and bite me on my rear end later. I was told that after I pay the ninth month payment that they reevaluate me and I may have to pay more than what I am paying now, and I don,t want them to think just because I paid $200 this month that I can do it every month. If someone can please give me some advice I will greatly appreciate it. :smileysad: I found this site this month, and I don’t know what I will do without it now.
I am taking on a motherload helping my husband clean up his credit profile. This is what I am up against: 21 pages of negative account history. I feel like it is more than I can take on, so any help and advice would be appreciated.
Â
Maybe first, some advice on Where I even start? I don’t know which original account and collection account are associated with each other and there seems to be a lot of duplicate entries. I assume I should start with debt verification letters? What should I ask for? Sample of verbiage would help..
Hello all,

Orchard Platinum Visa    2007- 1550/ $0 bal
Capital One Visa              2007-  1050/$0 bal
Macy’s charge card          2000-  1500/$0 bal
Amex Zync                          2010-        $0 bal Opening this card didn’t lower my score either
Â
There are no inquiries on my TU report. On my EQ report there is 1 from sept and dec of 09 and 1 from mar in 2010. There is one baddie showing from 2004.

I am looking for some advice on what to do with this account.  Please note that Equifax shows late payments of 30, 60, 90 days and Transunion doesn’t show any lates. Also Transunion shows DOLA in 2007 vs. Equifax shows DOLA in 2006. I would love to get this off my report if at all possible. I have been working very hard to clean things up.
