I did a PFD recently on two medical collections. After I got a score watch alert I pulled my Equifax report and they were deleted, that was about 5 days ago. I just checked my Transunion report today and they have not been deleted yet. How long before I should worry about contacting collection agency to see why they have yet to be deleted from Tranunion?

Dear Forum Members,

I just got an alert through my Score Watch account, and it was from a charged off Citifinancial account.  The balance supposedly owed was $2,781 through yesterday, but somehow the company changed the balance owed to $1,807.

I must be missing something on this.  Are they trying to re-age the account, or did they make a mistake?  I just do not know why they would lower the balance by $974.

Logged on to score watch to see if credit card balances had updated and noticed a 52 point increase!!!! After examining my report i noticed that not only did my balances update and drop down to about 11% but pinnacle finance was gone as well. I sent out a direct dispute on fri jan 28th and it was signed for on mon jan 31st and by feb 4th it was gone. Hopefully it stays off. Now im just waiting for a gw response and a pfd. I will continue to update u guys on my progress as i chase 700

My new Cap1 card reported on my equifax report today, got a score watch alert and my score went from 616 to 649! I’m so happy right now, just thought I had to tell someone. Thanks.

Hello to all.

I am trying to fix up my credit for a secret clearance I am applying for, for my job, and I really need your help.  Currently, freecreditreport dot com is stating my credit score at 562, and myfico score watch is showing 515.  I am going to list my creditors so that you can know exactly where I am at.  My goal is to get as many “baddies” removed as soon as possible (PFD’s) to raise the chance of getting a clearance.  I am not worried about a credit score so much (but I do want it to rise), I am more looking to get the bad items removed so that I look better on the report.

Here are my items in collections:

If you have any experience with PFD’s with any of these companies, please let me know.  I have about $3000 I can use for PFD’s and want to get that process started.

How long does it usually take from asking for a PFD to the account being deleted from your report?

Thanks in advance for all the replies and advice.  I really appreciate it!
