I know they get a bad rap but I just added one. Was costly at 150 initial activation fee and 20 a month to maintain but my score jumped 55 points and they report to all 3 credit bureaus!

So I have been rebuilding my credit to puchase a car. Last month, I achevied that goal and bought my brand new 2011 Jetta with scores of TU 663, EQ 656 and EX 658 (EX score was accroding to the lender). My car loan just hit my reports and I decided to enroll in TU quarterly monitoring and my score jumped to 695! I hope that just gardening my cards and making payments will soon bring me into the 700 club :smileyhappy:

Thanks to everyone here to helping me jump from low 500s to almost 700 in just over a year!

I have recently been trying to get my Experian up to 620. It was at 618 two months ago.

Myfico is currently monitoring my Equifax with score watch, and I bought a power report in January. At that time the Equifax was at 622. Well, I studied my report and how things are figured and realized that Cap One charge off in 2006 was still reflecting inside my credit utilization (108%).

Following llces’ advice on this site, I paid CapOne in full. He/she thought I would see a gain of 30 to 40 points by doing this. As a result making this move, I got a MyFico score watch update today that my score jumped from 622 to 658. Nice prediction llces, and now I’m curious as to whether anyone knows whether or not my Experian will also go up? Will it be days, weeks later or do they go up at the same time?

Happy New Year to me!  I opened an Orchard card with a $200 limit.  I previously had no revolving credit.  Today I got an alert and my score jumped from 653, where it’s been stuck for a year, to 687!  And the little thermometer thingy is now pointing to “Good”!!!

I’m going to have to check TU now, and see if I finally have a score with them.

After lurking for a few months, I had to join today to share my good news.  I am in the process of fixing my credit.  I have one credit care Premier, and yes it sucks.  However I paid my bill in full last month and the previous month.  I ran my updated credit score today and guess what?  My score jumped 71 pts.  I am so freaking happy.

This morning I woke, up, and made a payment to my credit card.  About 700.00.  This payment means I now have 0 in credit card debt.  It never really was that high (only about 1500, but my utilitazion was killing me.  Todays credit report shows that I owe 1200 or 80%.  Which is accurate, since I made another payment about 2-3 weeks ago.

So I go to work today, and come back.  I open the mail, and I get a letter from Equifax.  I had a dispute witth them.  My last dispute was accepted, and deleted.  It was a legitimate collection, but it had been reaged, so it was reportng as 9 months old, when it should have been about 5 years old.  My score jumped 40 pointa, and all 3 reports are now spotless..  Its at 670 today (with 80% utilitazion).  I’m going to wait 30 days for it to reflect the new balance, and hope its above 700 by then.

Well of course I’m not complaining, but how is it my score jumped 12 points with no change in report? Only obvious difference was my accounts aged by one month. Could that possibly be the case???  Again! I’m not complaining, just want to understand this a little more. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so maybe you can explain my confusion?

I had a collection account from Midland that was showing up on all three credit reports.  Suddenly last week, my Experian FAKO score jumped 20 points up and the only difference was that the Midland account was no longer showing on my Experian report.  It is still posted on on EQ and TU.

I disputed this with all three bureaus in June and they all came back as verified as mine.  I just sent a DV letter to Midland two weeks ago with no reply .  Is the EXP drop a mistake?  Can it come back on to the EXP report later?  I am hoping that the DV caused the change on EXP and that EQ and TU are going to drop Midland too.  Any thoughts?

I sent a GW to Macy’s to remove a 30 and a 60.  They removed from Experian I think. My CreditCheck Total says ND for the two missed payments. But on TU and EQ it is still marked as 30 and 60 late. My Fico EQ score jumped 26 points after I checked it out. Very strange.
