How long does it take for a paid collection to come off your credit report? Is there anyway that you can speed up the process? And how much does your score improve after having them removed? Thanks

I have an old cc charge-off on my cr that is scheduled to expire and be removed from my credit report by April this year.  I also have an old utility gas account charge-off that is scheduled to be removed October this year. My question is once they drop off will my score improve drastically? Or will it have not positive impact because of the age of these accounts? Any input would be appreciated.

I am trying to get my score up high enough for a better mortgage interest rate and fast. I was reading about writing a goodwill letter to a credit to see if they would remove 2 30 day past dues and 3 60day past dues that I had in a 5 month span 2 years ago. So here is my question…do I leave it be because as of January it will have been 2 yrs since I was delinquent or do I write the letter with the hope the credit will delete the deliquencies? I do not want to have a dispute on my credit report as I know that is a deal breaker for a mortgage. Would this be considering a dispute and do you think it would be worth it and Id see my score improve greatly?
