So I’ve been working on rebuilding my credit and everything seemed fine when all of a sudden I got hit with an 130.00 collection from an old Tmobile phone I had about 5 years ago :/ Its listed as a new account. Should I do a PFD? If I just call and pay it off will it drop my score? This really sucks since I’m looking to apply for a house soon. Advice is appreciated! Thank you!

What are some good ways to rebuild credit besides paying credit cards and bills on time? We already do these things and wanted to know if there was anything else we could do.

Hi everyone, I am wondering what my best course of action would be on a charged-off account that i payed in full today. I tried to get them to do a PFD, but they wouldn’t go for that, should i just start writing letters to higher ups to see if i could get it removed from my reports on a goodwill effort or should i just try to get the lates removed, this is all so confusing to me, lol, if anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be gratefully appreciated. thank you in advance for any suggestions.

My sister recently had her bancruptcy discharged and is now ready to start rebuilding her credit. Would it help her score if I added her to a few of my credit cards? I have superior credit and want to retain it, so, if I do add her to my cards will her negative credit affect mine? Any ideas on how to help my little sis would be very appreciated.

Hey everyone, its been a busy last couple of months out here in the great land of Afghanistan but I have finally decided its time to continue my efforts with credit repair.  If you had been following my previous postings I am happy to report that I now currently only have TWO negatives!!!!

WFNNB – I decided that since they refused my PFD offers 8 times that it was time to just bite the bullet and PIF.  Does anyone have an e-mail address, or snail mail address that I could send a GW letter to?  I would be much obliged.

Allied Collection Group – These people are the bane of my existance.  In 2009 while I was deployed to Iraq, my soon to be x-wife took our son to the doctors and neglected to pay the co-pay.  So here sits this $ 35 collection from some unknown creditor.  I have attempted to call and these people just refuse to answer their phone (day/night).  I even dropped a note on their website asking them to e-mail me in regards to the situation that was ignored.  All I want from these people is someone to talk to either to negotiate a PFD or find out who the doctors office is so I can ask them to pull the account back from collections.  I guess that was more of a general complaint than a question but if anyone has had contact with these people before I would love to have a specific persons extension number or e-mail so I can talk to someone.  When I spoke to the operator asking to talk to a CSR who is currently in the building and not dump me to some random voicemail since I was calling from Afghanistan they hung up on me.  AMAZING!!!

I have a solid game plan, I just need some contact info.  I would be much obliged if anyone could supply any of the above requested phone numbers / mailing addresses.

And please, dont thank me for being overseas… dont thank me for my service… dont thank me for defending our constitution, civil liberties and freedoms… you exercising those freedoms is thanks enough for me.

Has anyone had any success with a PFD with HSBC, if so, please tell you’re story.  I am currently contemplating sending them an offer on a 5 year old debt to get it off my report.  It is a charge-off that I want them to take off.  I appreciate any insight…

Received a letter today from Zenith Acquisition who is willing to take a 60% discount on my outstanding balance of 1038.05. (415.22)  Is it possible to do a PFD for an amount that is less than the full balance?

I did a PFD recently on two medical collections. After I got a score watch alert I pulled my Equifax report and they were deleted, that was about 5 days ago. I just checked my Transunion report today and they have not been deleted yet. How long before I should worry about contacting collection agency to see why they have yet to be deleted from Tranunion?
