Good will letters

Oct 272010

Does anyone have an email address and/or fax number to Arrow financial and First Premier. I would like to send them a GW letter to have a paid account removed. The account is a First Premier account and was sold to Arrow financial and its lingering on my report.

So my questions are when will the above baddies eventually stop hurting my scores so much?  I know it will take 7 years to fall off, just wanted to know if at some point they will ever stop affecting my scores?  I wanted to look into possibly getting a car within the next year and then maybe even play around with a mortgage.  So really wanted to work towards or at least know what I should focus on.  I have gotten new credit, and oh yes my bankruptcy chapter 7 will be falling off in April 2012 cannot wait!!!!

Help with paid accounts

Sep 092010

Hello!  So I had a few accounts that were negative from late pays, charge offs, and what not.  I paid everything off, not with PFD agreements (was not ware of it until later). So I have tried GW letters and a few were removed.  But with these that are still on there……what can I do?  Can I DV a paid account in hopes that they can no longer verify it?  Or is there anything else that I can do, other than dispute (its all accurate)?   Thanks for your help.

deleting paid closed accounts

Aug 092010

my dh has a few closed and paid satisfactory accounts and we were looking into seeing if we can delete them or should we leave them alone. some of them have lates on them and i was thinking of sending out goodwills for the late on there. Also would there is a chargeoff that is paid off, would i be able to send out a goodwill to see if they would adjust the status to paid account? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Credit Score dropped, student loans sold?

May 172010

Why did my credit score drop?

In the history, my student loans shows that the “account transferred or sold, closed or paid account/zero balance”

I’ve never missed any payments and have always paid on time.

How is this possible for me to have a drop in my credit, from 753 now to 744 for doing what I’m suppose to do?

How do I fix this?

Need help dealing with Unifund

Feb 082010

I have had a collection account with Unifund since 05/2008.  They say i owe them 8330.00 for a credit card debt from Chase that Chase charged off in 3/2006.  SOL is 3 years so it was past SOL in 03/2009 since 03/2006 is listed as the DOLA.  I got Unifund to agree to take a settlement on this account for 50% of the amount they state I owe.  4165.00 is very close to what the original charged off amount was.  My problem is I want Unifund to delete this account from my CR’s in exchange for this lump sum payment and they tell me that they are not allowed to delete a paid account from any of the CRA’s.  They cite a rule from the CRA’s that say they are not allowed to delete a paid collection.  I know that PFD’s are frequently accepted by many CA’s.  How can I convince Unifund to PFD?  I’m aware that a paid collection is no better than a unpaid collection on my CR’s.  Unifund tells me that they will report it as “PAID IN FULL”, but I’m afraid that it will remain on my CR’s for another 7 years trashing my FICO scores.  Any suggestions on how to convince them to PFD?
