Does a CA have to provide a document with your signature and the original creditor’s name to satisfy a debt validation letter?

Who should I tackle first? Should I try to settle through Validation then PFD with the Collections or do Settlements with the Charged off accounts first?

I have 4 Original Creditor Charge-off Accounts that I want to attempt to settle with and hopefully delete.

I also have 3 collection agencies on my CR Files. 2 of these are from 2 of the 4 Original Creditors above.

All from 2008-2009…

Hello everyone! I have been lurking for a few days and wanted to become apart of this great community. I have been in the process of rebuilding my credit ever since I got my secured credit card. Before I found this account I paid off two collections. The two in the middle that you see below. I regrettably did not know about PFD agreements.

I have an applied bank secured card with 750 credit limit. I have had the card for 1 year 6 months now and have never been late or missed any payments.

I currently have about 8-10 inquires and about half of these are set to fall off in the next 4 months.

My current plan:

  • Sending a PFD agreement to the first collection that you see for 102.
  • Sent a GW letter to Comcast through the main website contact form. The reason I did this was because it was less than 4 months late and I paid Comcast, not the ca. No response yet.
  • For the two collections I PIF’ed, I was thinking of sending GW letters first before I tried the Hipaa process. Should I try Hipaa before I send any GW letters for those two?
  • I am also looking to get another secured credit card. It has been difficult for me to make a final decision. I have considered WF, US bank, Cap one, and BoA. I am leaning towards Cap one. However, I did find a couple on this forum that do not have secured. What secured card should i go with?
