Has anyone ever had success with Hunter Warfield?  I live in Texas and I’ve sent DV letters, emails and faxes and never received a response from them ever.

I’ve been browsing these forums for a while, and have learned so much I hope someone can answer a couple of questions I have. I was discharged from the military for PTSD in Aug of 06 ( I was stationed in New Mexico and thats where I got the car) I then moved to NC and in the meantime my finaces were not up to par. My last payment was in Sep of 06 .I was in a situation were it was either I give up the car or not have a job which was a paper route at the time and the only job I could manage at the time. In April of 2008 my car was repoed. A year later I applied for and was awarded Va disabilty and SSDI. I never received any contact from the people that finaced me which was Credit Acceptance Co. I wanna make this right but I don’t know which SOL to go by? Is it NC or NM? I know live in TX not that I think that matters. I don’t wanna run the risk of contacting them within the SOL, and then wake a sleeping giant. I would like to now from some of the more experienced what course of action should I take to make this right and also help my credit.

I have 4 original creditors that charged-off accounts back in 2008.

2 accounts are HBSC and I have no recollection of exactly what they were. The other 2 accounts had excessive fees and the balances were 2 to 3 times as high as the original credit balance.  I disputed through the CRA but they were verified. However I never received any details.

I am contemplating directly requesting verification from these 4 companies. 2 of the companies list the balance at 0.

Is there a chance through verification that these companies could then raise the balances? I believe that would hurt my score.

If an account is charged off should the blance be 0 by law?

Is it worth it to ask for verification?

Also, could this requesting verification lead these companies to activate new CAs?

I received a response from a DV letter that I sent.  I was for an apartment that I rented a few years back.  I had to terminate me lease early and move (paid all my rent on time throughout living there)  However they are trying to say I owe additional fees of $3373.26

The response to DV stated  Enclosed you will find attached written confirmation from our client as verification of this debt ( The provided a PARTIAL copy of the lease contract ) however, I can not see anywhere in it that I should owe this money.  There is some of the lease agreement missing (4 pages) that they never supplied to me.

The amount is one months rent  for a cancellation fee fro early termination (this I can understand)  and the rest is a payback of concessions ( I received discounted rent every month that I lived there)

They also included a final statement-  in which I never received and never signed

They also have another  account with me that I also DV and the response included 500 for through sure deposit.  sue they are saying I owe the 500.  For this they provided a  bond acknowledgement that I signed.  It states that any dispute must go through binding arbitration.

not sure what steps to do next????  Do I DV again and request that they provided further proof?  I think I should do a PFD letter for the collection at 500???  Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!!!!!!

I am hoping for some good advice on raising my credit scores.  My scores that were pulled via a lender on Feb 4th were EX 599, EX 601, TU 594.  Here is what my reports contain:

Capital One credit card with a $1000 charge-off in Dec 2008 that was settled in Dec 2009,

4 medical collections from 2007 between $19-$144 that have all been paid in full to the collection agency,

mastercard with a $320 limit that has been open since Nov. 2010 which I pay off completely every month,

CD loan for $500 that I paid over 6mos which I paid off in Dec. 2010.

I know I messed up with the Capital One card- I got the card while I was in college without a job.  As far as the medical collections go, I had no idea they were there as I was on my parents insurance at the time and assumed that the expenses were paid- I never received any notice that I owed.  I paid these accounts as soon as I saw them.

I have virtually no debt- my car is paid off, I don’t owe any student loans. I have 3 yrs of rental history and I have never missed a payment or paid late.

I am looking for advice for what I should do next.  What is my next best move to get my credit scores up?  I would like to be able to get my scores high enough to qualify a mortgage by the end of this year if it’s possible.  Any input is greatly appreciated.

Recently i was denied a Mortgage, stinks…..The lender reported that I had way too many deliquencies on my report. he provided me with a copy and WOW, there were 10 things I need to get removed in order for me to buy my dream home. #1 Most of this debt with the OC is more that 7 years old, however the CA are reported them as more recent like a year ago, Can they do that? #2 Most of these were disputed and came back as verified, stinks…. so now my credit report has a whole bunch of disputes and it appears this hurts me, how did i fix that? #3 I have prepared a letter to the OC and CA to validate the debt before and I never received a reply, what should be my next step, since the CRA also verified and so called investigated this info?
