hi! i co-own a property with a very close friend. both of our names is on deed. only my name is on the mortgage. He rented out the properties and collect rents. Now for 7 months based on the bank, they have not recieved payments. there are renters in the properties that he is still collecting rent from. He moved out from the house. I have been trying to reach him in vain. he’s been avoiding me. my credit record is now suffering has a result for this. Now i want to take his name the deed, but how to you get someone that is running away from you get the appropriete signature on the right document? Also if i were to surrender the deed to the bank so that to avoid foreclosure, will i be able to do so since my co-owner is running away from me?
thx
We are married and getting our first home together. However, my husband’s credit is bad, we had to pay alot of his credit togehter actually. So I got a loan on the house on my name only and we are about to go to closing. At the beginning I thought that its fair that both of our names should be on the deed. Now I am thinking that it is not fair that I am going to be financially responsible for it and not him. I want to propose to him that he fix his credit, we refinance when he does so and then we add his name to the deed. I think its fair. It’s not about trust or anything like that for me. We love each other and trust each other. I dont even know what the laws are when you are married and have a house together – I think in case of divorce in Virginia it gets split anywhays both ways. I just want him to be responsible for it just like I am. I dont know how he would react
Do you think I am unreasonable?
We were never married and the house is in both of our names. I have been told we can do an assumption on the loan but he will not qualify. Is there something else that can be done? He doesn’t want to sell the house and would like to remain in it. I would like to sell. It is in the state of Virginia.
My sister owns a house. (I helped her with the down payment, but my name’s not on it). The house is in Arizona, but she lives in New York. She’s stuck in a CRAPPY ‘interest-only loan’, and our mortgage is underwater. Now they said that she can’t re-finance it because it’s an investment property, and the person must live in the house to refinance it).
Me and my fiance are looking for a place to live now. So we were thinking of moving into her house, and then refinancing it.
So would she have to ‘sell us’ the house? Gift it to us? can she just add one of our names to it?
thanks for your help guys!
I want to know if it’s wrong for a bank to give a person a mortgage loan when there’s 3 names on the house and they say they only require 2 signatures and the 3rd person didn’t find out about it until the mortgage loan was already approved?
We have a 2nd mortgage in both of our names with a different lender. If the house if foreclosed is my credit affected if we stay current with the 2nd mortgage. Can the bank sue for diffeciency in Minnesota or come after our bank account?
The company I work for is closing and I need names of good employment agencies in the Memphis TN area. Not having much luck on my own and my mortgage company requires that I pay them. (imagine!) Looks like I’m competing with kids fresh out of school who can work for minimum wage and “mature” workers need more money. Seems that 30 years office experience does not count for anything. Any help will be appreciated as I worked hard to buy a home and don’t want to lose it.
I am constantly getting unknown & unwanted names offering me mortgage offers loan offers.
How do I stop them sending e mails? Ia there a registry?
