Went to 5/3rd on 11-22-11 to talk about a refi.  They pulled my credit scores.  Things didn’t go as expected due to the incompetence and dishonesty of the loan originator and I’ve been getting alerts from 2 credit monitoring programs I have, one of which is directly through 5/3.  There are hard pulls on 11/23, 11/29 and 11/30….some of them multiple times on the same day.  Is there any recource if 5/3 drags their feet on removing them?  Am I entitled to have them removed since I just gave oral permission once to pull them on 11-23-11.  I mean…does this give them the right to pull my reports indefinitely?  Counting the multiple pulls on the same day I have 12 hard pulls over a week’s time.  Do I have any legal recourse?

Thanks.

Credit mortgage
byMANILA IMPERIAL MOTOR SALES . . . .

I am having a home foreclosed on, and would like to know if anyone can give me a mortgage?

I just turned 18 and i don’t want to get a credit card (i believe in buy what you can afford/earn). I heared if you get enough money saved up you can get a government assisted mortgage (canada). Is this true? or am i burdened to get a credit card?

My husband and I are attempting to fix inaccuracies on our credit report, and do the right things to improve our credit score. Well, more specifically, his, because his is better than mine and he is the income earner, while I am a student. When I reviewed his report yesterday, I noticed immediately that there are errors. We previously owned 2 homes, and when we came into hard times, one of them ended in foreclosure, and the other resulted in a short sale. We were not asked to repay deficiencies on either one as we were not financially able. HOWEVER- our credit report reflects balances and payments due on both!(multiple times because the mortgages changed hands) I have read that this could definitely be hindering his score recovery. What is the most efficient (and fastest) way to get this corrected?

Also, he has a total of 3 collections. 2 of them are still reporting, the other has not reported since 2009. I planned to pay the first 2, and wondered if it will make a difference if I pay in full vs settling for a lower amount… And should we even pay the one that hasn’t reported? I read here on the forum that its best to leave it alone if its no longer reporting- that paying it could actually result in a blow to the credit score…

Our goal score is 640 for the mid score. Right now its 608. But that’s a score pulled from another website, and my brother informed me that it may not be the “fico” score the lenders see…

Please advise. It will be so much appreciated!!   ;)

This is only my seond post on here and any advice given would be much appreciated.

Going through some old files I found several letters form CA. Two of them are in fact on my CR’s. However, I have found 2 others that are not showing on any of them.

I am fully aware of what these 2 are for. They are dupicate accounts for the same service through AT&T. It is a long story, but basically I set up service for home phone, internet and TV, then called the next day to cancel the phone only to be told that the order was never put through, thus setting up a second service and unknowingly paying for both accounts for months. I was young and just starting out, and didn’t realize how vital it is to keep all records of such things for future reference. Once I realized there were 2 accounts, I stopped paying both and tried to convice AT&T of their error. Eventually both accounts were closed with balances on them.

I’ve tried talking with AT&T multiple times regarding this matter with no luck. I understand now how important it is to keep records of everything like this just in case.

My new concern is making sure these do not show up o my credit report in the future. I would much rather just pay them and file this yet again under “Stupid Tax” even though I know in reality I paid enough to AT&T for both amounts to be null and void. I know it will take months to dispute these with possibly no positive resolution for me.

Do you think it is smarter to just pay them and wipe my hands clean of the whole ordeal?

I was an employee of a medical clinic. They discharged me. I filed unemployment and won 2 times on the hearing. The commission found them in error for discharging me. When I was still there, I went for a consult. Insurance approved the claims. The amount was to be paid by me since I have not met my deductible yet. The doctor and the manager told me it will be WAIVED since I was an employee. They gave me document showing zero balance.

After the discharge incident and unemployment claims, they are now attempting to collect the medical bill. I have lost my record when I moved residence because I cannot afford the old apartment rent. Now, I am stuck. They have sent multiple times to the insurance, but my insurance kept denying their claims because it has been more than a year. I am sure however, that the first claim was approved and that I was ultimately responsible for it.

Collection efforts are now on going. Should I just pay or insist that it should have been waived as initially agreed?

I am going to give an update on the accounts that I have had success with as well as list the ones I am having difficulty with and hope someone has some more great advise for me. Keep in mind some of these are mine and some are my wife’s.

I had a 1st Premier CC back in ’04. Went into collections and paid it off in 2006 directly to 1st Premier. Received the paid in full letter which also said they would remove it from my credit report via fax. A year went by and I never bothered to check back on my credit file. Once I did I found the listing still on my credit report. I’ve disputed this listing multiple times with no success because I could never find the letter from them. Called and they “had no record” of their letter and wouldn’t budge on removing the listing. At last, I have the letter in hand and plan dispute this again, this time with valid proof. No big question here, just wanted to list my rant of “Thank God” for saving documents. Even know it took me 4 years to find it.

Hi.  I’m a newbie here so please forgive me if this topic has been discussed multiple times!  Is it better to (a) pay OFF your balance on ALL your cards, or (b) pay OFF all the balance on SOME cards, or (c) pay DOWN the balance to 30% of the credit line for all cards?  I need to raise my score this year and it will take me a while to pay everything off.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thx.
