Deark SBK,
Thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns surrounding your credit report with us. It is clear you understand the importance of maintaining an exemplary credit rating and that you desire to meet your personal obligations. It is also clear that you are aware that we are legally bound per our agreements with the credit bureaus to report all information accurately. As you stated, the fact remains that you did fall behind on your payments at one point and we are obligated to report these events as they occurred.
Â
As you mentioned, unexpected and unfortunate events occur in most all of our lives at some point. That being the case, if we were to begin making exceptions for one member, we would have to then make exceptions for all members, which would invalidate the credibility of the information we were reporting altogether. In addition, this would constitute a compromise of our integrity as a financial institution and could jeopardize our partnerships with the reporting agencies.
Â
We appreciate the fact that you continue to meet your current obligations and we value your membership. Our Member Service Specialists are dedicated to improving the financial lives of our member-owners. We would be happy to assist you with a financial review of your credit report at no cost and help you build a plan to improve your credit score, reduce your debt and start building a savings plan to help you build an emergency fund. Feel free to stop by any Member Financial Center or call our Member Contact Center to discuss how we can help you build a stronger financial future.
Â
Sincerely,
Mr. Shot me down again! Â
