Good lord, now I get a 4th request for proof of ID and Address from Experian.

This dispute started in September, here it is the end of November and they are STILL asking for proof of ID and address.

Everytime I send them something they send me back a letter saying his request could not be honored because he did not provide sufficient ID info to verify his Identity.

4 yes FOUR letters from EX wanting the same dog gone info I sent the very first time.

What more do they want? A blood and urine sample?

IMO they have failed to adhere to the 30 day time limit of the dispute process.

How do I get them to remove the accounts he disputed since they obviously wont do a legit dispute?

Hello forum,

About four days ago I sent out a Orchard Secured Credit Card application which I’m very excited about, however I want to know what else can I do to boost my score a bit.  I currently have one retail card from Macy’s with an embarrassing $75 dollar spending limit (I know its ridiculous) and 5 act’s listed as negative on my CR, even though on November 30th I have a automatic payment posted to pay a CA, which hopefully after receiving letter saying Paid in full I can send that to the credit bureaus and get a tradeline deletion.

What other steps can I take to play around and jumpstart my credit score?

Thank you.

Hi,

This is my first post to the board, so please bear with me.

I have a default judgment on my credit report from July 2008.  I never received any notification ahead of time regarding this judgment.  When I finally did find out about the default judgment, the paperwork had been sent to the wrong address, so I never got a chance to dispute the item.  The judgment is for a truck from Ford Motor Credit, which they say I leased in Alabama (I live in New York).  They maintain that this was repossessed after non payment.  I sent them notarized paperwork stating that the information had originally been sent to the wrong address.  Secondly, I told them of the identity theft.  I sent notarized paperwork to the attorneys stating this fact.  Since then I’ve heard nothing, until recently I got a letter saying that they still plan to pursue to debt.  I have not gotten an attorney yet, but I’m not sure if there is anything remaining that I can do on my own.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Good Morning All…

I have been receiving calls at work from collection agencies and even had one fax over a verification of employment form.  I have never received a letter saying anything about a debt being owed.  Since I’ve never received a letter should I still send them a DV letter?  Also, I read somewhere that you only owe the original creditor and not the collection agency because the collection agency does not have a contractual relationship with you.  Is that true?

Hey gang,

Shot off a GW back in June for my Citibank card. (9 years with them, two 60s back in 2009, caught up, and they closed the card due to inactivity 6 months later…) and they sent back a letter saying they’d delete the tradeline for me. I was fine with that, b/c my AAoA is strong enough. The letter said to allow 30 days, and listed all three CBs with their contact information to confirm which bureaus they’d be deleting from.

6 weeks later, it was gone from EX and EQ….but still hanging on my TU. I sent a copy of their letter along with a follow-up thanking them profusely and mentioning that it was still on TU. They replied with the same form letter they sent previously, with a different manager noted. It also asks for 30 days again.

I pull freely on CCT, and it’s still there. (I got this most recent letter about 2 weeks ago.)

What should if I do if another month goes by and it’s still stubbornly hanging on? My EQ score is way higher (see siggy) than my TU, and the only difference is this one account – so needless to say, I want it to go away!

I’m not sure if there’s anything I really can do, just curious if anyone had any other advice…Citi has been awesome working with me, so I hate to be a whiner when they’re doing me a solid!

I have a hospital copay in collection.  CA was just blowin smoke.  He said he’s PFD but refused to sign anything or send a letter saying he would do so.

I would still prefer to get this off my CR.  I want to contact the OC but I’m not certain if I offer them a PFD or if there is another way to do this.  It was the CA that reported to the bureaus, but not the OC.   So I’m uncertain how to go about it from here.

Thanks

Sent a letter asking why I ahve not received a response and pointed out their violations

Received a printout of payment history, not good validation

Sent a letter telling them they had to remove it because they failed to validate in 30 days, and what they sent is not validation (I live in Texas, must validate in 30 days).

No response after 15 days

Filed complaints with the FTC and AG

Sent complaints and intent to sue to CA

At the 15 day mark they removed their entry from Experian

That night it is removed from Equifax

Still waiting for removal from Trans Union

Just wanted to say, with enough hard work and dedication, it can happen :)

.. I pulled my transunion report today and noticed that a civil judgement has been posted to my ‘Public Records’ section in my credit report.  I had a car that was repossessed in april 2007.. car went to auction, and 3 years later i received a letter saying i owe $10,000.  I’ve moved many times since its happened and being young and 21 with my first car, didnt really know how repo’s work… anyway.. i went to court.. and now i have this debt of $10,000 that i’ve worked out a payment plan to help tackle in the next two years to pay off.

My question is:   How can i go about removing this?  On my fico transunion report all the information spots say “not reported” so should i do a dispute?… or is a civil judgement, something you cant really remove until its paid?  .. I know you guys are all very knowledgeable, so i’m sure you’ll point me in the right direction :)
