Are they reporting correctly?

Jan 252011

I got my BK CH7 discharge and I’m currently cleaning up my report. Can a creditor report an account like that?

Scores:

January 12th, 2011: 562

January 19th, 2011: 591 (I got the one and only late payment removed from my auto loan with Toyota Financial.)

My credit is completely and utterly embarrassing! I’ll give a brief synopsis of my credit report and I would greatly appreciate any and all help in increasing my score. Please don’t judge me based on my horrible credit history!

Those are my negative accounts.

One inquiry: September 26th, 2010

I have 13 accounts that are reporting as “Pays Account As Agreed”. Included in the positive accounts are my mortgage ($118,000), an additional real estate loan ($1,100) and an auto loan ($20,000). Of the ten remaining positive accounts, eight of them have $0 balances. The other two credit cards have balances totaling $1,200 (total combined credit limit of $2,500).

What would be my best bet for increasing my score?

should I dispute or leave it alone?

Jan 152011

I had amex card back in 1996-1999. date of last activity was in 99 and it was charged off i paid it in 2002 ish. but on TU report it shows date closed in 2008? isnt the account closed when its paid?   should i dispute this because its over 7 years old when i paid it? im afraid my score will go down because its the oldest item on my report? it doesnt show up on eq or ex reports just on my TU report.

Paid Papa John’s Account / Security Check a.k.a. Pay Alliance

Jan 082011

I made an online payment to Pay Alliance yesterday for an outstanding $35 returned check from a few years ago. They sent me a receipt of the payment and indicated that the account is now satisfied. After thinking about it, I responded to the email and asked what the likelihood of having this removed from my credit report would be, but I received no response. I’m seriously hoping that they delete it. Here’s my question(s), should I begin preparing a GW letter now to send off, or should I wait a bit and see if they delete it? Truly, I have been trying to get this account resolved for well over a year now, and I stated that in my email to them. I’d been calling Papa John’s corporate office, sending emails to people there asking how to get it resolved etc. Only thing I got was an updated entry on my report saying last activity was back in 2009 which says to me somebody got my emails and just didn’t respond. Heck, I was trying to pay them, not negotiate. Anyway, after pulling my report and scores from this site, I decided to google that funny number that shows up in place of the name of the CA and found out who it was and did more searching to see about how to pay them. Feedback is greatly appreciated. I really want to fix my credit.

"So upset". -Follow up on 1st Post

Nov 092010

Ok so this is the deal, I logged on freecreditreport.com and pulled my October statement. The information is as follows.

These are the alerts updated for October: (Maybe that is why my scored dropped for begging too much for another card)

  • 10/01/10 GEMB/JCP has requested a copy of your Credit Report
  • 10/17/10 Potentially negative information has been posted to your Credit Report
  • 10/29/10 TD BANK N.A. has requested a copy of your Credit Report

Other information that might be helpful for you experts out there, I have 2 accts on collection and a revolving debt of $23.00, 5 accounts listed as negative, no BKS and/or court judgements I have at least 4 or 5 hard inquiries.

Enhanced Recovery CO, they are on behalf of sprint, there is a balance of $817.00 ( I can pay that in full if i have to) This account was opened on 8/1/2008 for Experian the account is currently closed, however for Transunion it states open.  The last activity I see on the 24-month payment history was on May 2009 it says “KD”

Pinnacle Financial Group, T-Mobile is whom they represent with a balance of $1,087 This is really recent 6/1/2010, but im willing to return to T-mobile if I have to, to get that remove from my CR if its possible. and like my first baddie the status is closed for Experian and open for Transunion, that last activity reported on it was this month October, 2010.

This concludes my pontentially negative info on my CR, if you guys need any other info please let me know. I would like to know what you guys think as to what steps should I take.  Thank you all. Hope this leads me towards a good start.
