Credit mortgage
byMANILA IMPERIAL MOTOR SALES . . . .

ive never had a mortgage. each credit bureau is saying it cant process any requests until i verify my mortgage lender. who should i contact if someone has fraudulently used my identity?

I successfully disputed a Judgment with Equifax and TransUnion. Both of these CB removed the Judgment within mere day’s to a week.

Experian/NCAC is a different story. I send them the same dispute letter i send to the other CB, got back the results. Then followed up with a “demand for description of procedures used to determine accuracy and completeness of disputed info” letter and made sure to mention multiple times that this was not a request for a re-investigation. And still they treated it just like another dispute. The letter/email I received from them just named the disputed item and “outcome remains”. The same computer generated letter I received from them before.

This was not the outcome I suspected. I suspected a BS letter explaining how they did their procedure etc but not yet another verification. I need help writing another follow up letter to get these people with the program!!!

I received my pre-approval on a home and have 2 outstanding judgments that need to be paid.

My questions are.

Is there a process I should be following when contacting the companies/ law offices that took the judgment out on me?

Is there a process that I should follow to negotiate with them?

Would the process differ since I am going to be getting a home and would not pay the debt until the closing of the home? Or do I pay it prior to closing.

Right now I have about $3000 that I can use to pay the judgment. Both judgment are for approximately $3500 a piece.

Can I get these deleted or vacated in the state of Iowa if the judgments were from about 5 years ago?

Anyone’s help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey there guys, I’ve been lurking here for a few months–was trying to get a used car, and needed to see where I stood.  At any rate, I’ve been looking over my credit reports, trying to see what I can do to start rebuilding my credit.  I’ve been trying to get all my answers from just reading the other posts here, but there are a few things I’m still not clear on.

I think the biggest things adversely affecting my score are some collections accounts and a judgment record.  I apologize if my requests seem too akin to handholding, but the ones I’m not certain on how to approach are below:

PROFESSIONAL FINANCE C

Original Creditor: ATMOS ENERGY FD

Responsibility:   Individual

Condition: Derogatory

Original Balance: $36

Balance: $36

Date Opened: 11/2005

Date Reported: 02/2006

I found this gem, and was quite surprised (it wasn’t on the TU reports that I’ve been getting).  Nearest I can figure is, I got a bill for $36 bucks after I moved apartments when I lived in TX.  I may have screwed the pooch, but I gave Atmos a call, and the lady I spoke with said that the CA was the owner of the debt now, but that I could pay her and they would report it paid to the CA.  I have no issue paying $36 to get this removed from my CR, and I think I should start with a PFD, but I don’t know if I should be sending it to the OC, or CA.

ESCALLATE LLC

Original Creditor: EMP OF GASTON COUNTY PLLC.

Responsibility: Individual

Condition: Derogatory

Original Balance: $637

Balance: $637

Date Opened: 09/2009

Date Reported: 11/2009

This can only be a medical bill for an emergency room visit I made, that I never received a bill for.  Not something I can afford to PIF yet, so I assume I should wait to contact them either after the SOL, or only when I’m ready to PIF?

LEGAL ITEM

Type: Judgment

Status: Filed

Date Filed: 02/2005

How Filed: Unknown

Closing Date: [not listed]

Court: City & County Government

Plaintiff: 1ST COMMUNITY FCU

Action Amount: $1709

This is the judgment record on my report.  I took out a loan to consolidate some of my debt, but started missing payments after my savings diminished while I was unemployed after separating from the military.  I know for a fact that I didn’t miss any payments while I was still employed; therefore, the date on this judgment doesn’t make sense to me because on the date it was filed, I was on deployment in Kuwait.  Can I somehow dispute this under violation of the SCRA?  Or am I pretty much stuck in the same barrel as everyone else with a judgment, having to wait for it to fall off my report?

I have an auto repossesion from 7 years ago when I was very young.  I am trying to buy my first home but this judgment still shows as “public record”.  it does not show as charge off or negative accounts anymore.   A couple things im trying to understand.

1.  This Judgment shows it will be removed in 10 months.  Is it better to wait and see if falls off or pay it?

2.  The amount the judgment has listed is inaccurate ($7,720).  I have paid 3,000 already several years ago but i dont see any indication of that.

3.  All 3 credit bereaus show different “estimated removal dates” ranging from 1/2012 to 3/2013. why do they have different removal dates?

4. and last but not least. If i dispute the “public records” of judgment on my credit reports, will that REOPEN the judgment for possible renewal and i have to wait another 7-10 years for its removal?

other than this judgment, i only have 2 other small negative accounts ($99 & 400) which i will pay off next week. In hopes of buying my first home

Hi,

I’m curious about how a judgment that was IIB is supposed to be reported after discharge.

With Experian, I got lucky and they removed it completely.

Equifax reports it as SATISFIED and with a $0 liability.

Now – here’s my problem:

TransUnion reports it as “Civil Judgment in Bankruptcy” and is reporting a liability of $25,000.:smileymad:

I thought the discharge meant that my personal liability was gone – why is this still reported? If IIB-accounts need to be reported as $0 balance – shouldn’t that apply to judgments as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am down to the last two negatives on my report, and wondering if, or how, I should dispute them, or just hold on and think warm thoughts until they drop off.

1) An IRS paid/released lien for $5200. What irks me about this is that I was never notified, either of the lien, or that it was paid, until I pulled a credit report. This all happened without me ever knowing. But, strangely, at the time the lien was filed, I was working with the IRS and had a payment agreement, and while the lien was sent to the wrong address my payment plan details were all sent to the correct address. In addition, both the amount of the lien and the payoff seem incorrect, as I paid the debt in May, in full, but the Paid/release date is November, for example.  Also, this was filed in the wrong county. This PR turns four years old in January.

2) A Judgment from the state for $180, same year,  also apparently for a tax debt. Once again, no notice, just a letter from the State deducting the amount from my tax refund two years ago, and saying I was paid in full. Now, I’ve seen a lot of talk about liens and what judges can do, etc, on this site, some of it pretty snippy. None of them address what happened to me. Apparently, a lien was issued, and, yes, that is administrative. But that lien is not on my CR. However, to collect on that lien, a judge issued a default judgment in court. That is what is on my CR, a judgment. I pulled the court document, no detail at all.

So, here’s my dilemma. Do I seek to vacate the judgment and validate the lien, and risk opening a can of administrative worms? I am not a big earner, the amounts are small, my taxes are all paid and in good sdtanding. But the amount of time I might have to spend on this could be quite the hassle if an agency decides to make it an issue. The debts are paid, and I’m not  looking to challenge the amounts. But these certainly never should have gone through process, and the records are quite damaging.

Am I better off manually explaining, and just living with the FICO hit for the next 2-3 years? I’d like to see about getting a home this year…
