well i rec’d a letter first week of October from a new Collection Company—Midland—FROM a law office for Midland.  It was a 30 day dunning letter do I agree pay if not, then send them my reason it is not mine and they would send me my verifiaction.

It was a computer generated letter AND my last name was spelled wrong.  Not even close.

What do I do?  when is SOl up beginning or end of the month.  Clearly CACH new it was up and sold to Midland.  Thanks for the help

I live in Illinois and have often wondered why teachers do not have to pay FICA taxes?  They say it is because they have their own pernsion plan to pay into.  So do I, but I can’t opt out of the FICA tax.  Does this mean that the school districts are also exempt from the matching payroll tax?  Does this expemption extend to all government workers as well?

Does anyone know if a Full Media Validation is allowed in Illinois?  I checked the Collection Agency Act for Illinois, but I could only find where it stated that only the original creditors name and address is needed for validation.

Thanks,
