Hi Everyone, Im quite new to the forum and i’ve been getting quite a few great ideas on how to boost my credit score. My credit report isnt a large mess however it could use some improvement. I currently have 1 paid collection with ConServe and 1 unpaid with AFNI (tmobile). I recently sent a PFD letter to AFNI and a goodwill letter to ConServe. I also have a paid chargeoff with EXPRESS/WFNNB thats about 1 yr old. I wanted to know if i could possibly have the chargeoff removed and how would I go about doing so? I wanted to also know how this chargeoff can effect my qualification for a mortgage loan. Thanks!
Hi FICO Friends,
Â
I am on the repair bandwagon and I have a baddie from First Premier Bank for $177.00. Any ideas on how I should approach them… I can pay the amount owed in full. Should I send them a letter and request that they remove the line in return for full payment?
Thanks!

had a couple of late pays on hsbc showing inaccurate got them deleted but the whole tradeline was deleted any ideas on how to get the tradeline on my rports again
Hello everyone! I had a $63 bills that I forgot about with a hospital and it was sent to a CA. Immediately called and paid the OC the full amount. The CA has updated their TL as paid. My question is can a CA still be on the report if I paid the OC. Seems to me that it is not their account. Sound I dispute the account with the CRA, GW, or DV the CA? Any ideas on how to best attack this account? If noone has a idea then I will start the HIPAA process again. Thanks for you help.
I have spent the last year getting my husbands credit to the point where we could apply for a rural development loan through the USDA.  He started out somewhere in the high 480s and we needed at least a 620-640 to apply.  We applied and were preapproved in June for our loan and are in the process of closing in the next few weeks on our new house.  I have read recently that sometimes they may check your credit again before the loan closes…shouldn’t be a problem, my husband has two things in his name, a small overdraft loan ( revolving -type that is paid off) from our credit union for $100 (0 balance) and an Orchard Bank card 300 limit (also a 0 balance).  He lost his orchard bank card during our packing and had to call for a new card….they issued it and he received it a few weeks ago.  Today I get a notice from both Equifax and Experian that his score had gone DOWN.  I couldn’t figure out why, so I checked.  Its because the card is now reporting as lost/stolen and his score from Experian dropped from 676 to 661, his score from Eq dropped from 691 to 664!! I am so upset, had  we realized that would happen, we would have just done without the card!!!  I don’t know what we can do about this if anything.  We worked so hard to get him to 700, we were almost there, and now this feels like a kick in the face!  Anyone ever hear of anything like this happen, or have any ideas on how to fix it?  I think he is still “safe” according to our loan because its still over 640, but it doesn’t seem fair and I want some opinions on what we might be able to do about it.
I just found these forums. Man, I wish I had sooner
There is so much knowledge here and information submitted by such awesome people.

I had an ATT Mobility collection recently show up on my TRW. It confused me because I still have ATT cell phone account, and have had for over 15 years. My phone was working just fine, not shut off.
The CA reported the debt from 2007 for $108, but it just showed up? I contacted ATT, and they showed no delinquency. I disputed the collection online with the CRA’s thinking it was a case of mistaken identity, and it came back verified. Huh?? So I contacted the CA and they told me it was for an old number from when I lived in California.
Â
Long story short, when I moved to NC in 2007 ATT told me they were just going to give me a new phone number and transfer my account. Come to recently find out, they closed my old account and started a new one. You guessed it – the final bill for my ‘old’ account was sent to my old address in California. And I just found out about it over three years later when it showed up on my TRW.
Â
This knocked my score down to a 642, right when I was really focusing on getting my score back up after a divorce. Yeah, I was rather bummed :-)
Â
Any ideas on how to get this collection removed? I don’t feel like I did anything wrong at all, I just got incorrect info from ATT over three years ago when they were swapping my account from California to NC. I didn’t know to be looking for a bill from them, and it wasn’t forwarded in the mail to NC.
Â
Please help if you have any suggestions!
I have the following Collection on my report. It’s for $67. I have no idea what it is for, or how to contest it, as the original debt is not even listed. Â
It’s been on here since at least 2005, and is greatly affecting my score. Â I’ve disputed it in the past, and it just keeps popping back up with a later date.
(bought/sold I assume)
Anyone have ideas on how I can proceed? or how to even identify the original debt to address it?
Â
thanks.

I’m just now starting to understand the importance of rebuilding my credit and have some collectors that I’d like to contact and settle with. Â Unfortunately I can’t find any contact information for the collections agencies. Â Any ideas on how to go about contacting them?
Â
The names of the agencies according to my report are “701yc00488″ Â and “Aac”
Â
Thanks!
It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Either way I’m really working on trying to fix my credit it’s improved from where it was, not by much I just need ideas on how to get something rolling in the correct directions.
Â
I signed up to get my Equifax FICO score which is a 594. not great, but better than what it use to be.
Â
Either way I was reviewing some of the accounts it shows I have on there and one item on my account is showing that it’s late even though it’s paid off and doesn’t have a balance…this may be a silly question, but I want to make sure I’m doing the correct thing, but submitting a dispute up for that item on my account to get that properly removed off my report?
Â
Also I have this showing in collections on my report.

The last time anything was reported or done on this account was back in 2007, but that being is collections is more than likely pulling down my score, should I just simply pay that off or leave it be on my account?
