Well this is sort of bad and good. I have a younger brother who has a similar name and same home address, and social # off by one number. Pretty much, our credit reports were mixed on transunion. I disputed some of his items on my credit report and told Transunion that a lot of the items on my credit report weren’t mine, blah blah, and submitted brothers/mine ids for verification. Long story short, knowing how stupid credit bureaus are, Transunion merged everything under my brother’s name. My credit report got wiped out. Well, this was 3 years ago. Now, my credit is fixed on both experian and equifax with good legitimate tradelines. How do i go about reporting these tradelines on Transunion. I have a discovery card, bofa, macys. Can I send a letter to Transunion with the account numbers? I tried calling discover and they keep telling me they are reporting to Transunion, but when I try to pull credit report from Transunion, it says that my credit file does not exist. I’m sort of in a catch 22. Any advice, opinions, strategies will be appreciated.Â
Recently i have had a new collection company calling me to collect a debt previously under a different company. Arround the same time sent a PFD letter to old company yet reply back that they no longer own the debt. This new company has not sent me a notice about collecting this debt, yet daily calls. What should i do in this instance i have told them that i need validation of this debt and i have not received a written notice from them. Do they have the right to ask me my home address as they should have gotten this if they took over the debt, especially as it seems they have my cell phone number.

Im looking to get this debt off with a pay for deletion and have the cash on hand to take care of this
These jokers are on my credit report. I never received the final bill from Comcast because I had moved out of my school apartment back home because of graduation. I had called Comcast previously to cancel the service and tell them my home address to get the final bill sent. I had to call Comcast for an address to return the modem, and they had informed me about the amount. I paid the bill that night and sent the modem back. Eastern Account System is on my credit report but I never even received a thing from them. Talked to the local excecutive person from Comcast in my area and he says there is nothing he can do for me. Any other suggestions, really need help on this one.
My brother had an accident while visiting me(tourist visa no ssn). I paid off his expenses in the hospital and he returned back to home country.

Then I started to get additional bills to my home address, as we gave my home address @ the hospital. I called the collecting agency and explained them that I paid the full amount at the hospital and the person at the hospital had confirmed to me that I paid the total. Collection agency told me that he will speak to them and close this balance but couple months later I again started to receive this bill in mail.Â

This is getting frustrating and now I am wondering if instead of keep fighting this I should just ignore this as the bill is in my bothers name who does not live here. Would that have potential to harm for me or for him in the future if he decide to come live here as well.
