Well, I’ve been working on my credit for a few months now, and I’m glad to say that I have gotten 5 collections DELETED off of my credit reports!!! Debt Validation letters DO work!!! I have one more to take care of, Arrow Financial, and I’m sending them a DV letter tomorrow. Does anybody have any experience with Arrow? Good? Bad? Also, does ANYBODY know how to get an original creditor off of my credit report? HSBC says that its not their policy. Any backdoor methods? Any info will help. Thanks in advance.

This is a car loan that I had through Ford Motor Credit. I supposedly had one payment that was 30 days late in August of 2004. I paid off the loan in January of 2007.

I don’t think this is reporting correctly, and I’m not sure what to do about it. I know I disputed this a few months ago, but it was pre-myFICO.com and I really didn’t know what I was doing.

Here are screen grabs from both my Equifax and Transunion reports. I’ve highlighted pertinent items. Can you help?

I checked my other scores a few months ago, an account that was closed a bank and is disputed to the office of the comptroller, is reporting as CA.  I’ve sent my dispute letter to the CA as well.

Anyway, my EX is 576.  There were several accounts noted as closed, written off that were actually included in my Ch 7 bk last year (May 2010).

My current cards – Orchard unsecured, Cap 1 unsecured, and First Primevil unsecured all show paid, never late.

What else can I do?  Is it the one CA that is holding me down?  I’ve asked it be removed.

Just very disheartened.:smileysad:

We have 5 accounts i bad standing together. One is a repo so we won’t pay that for a few months but most others are small $200-$1000. It would be so much easier to consolidate them and make one monthly payment of about $50. Can we do that? Our bad debt is not more than $3000 all together. Is there a place you suggest for that?

I was sued and ended up negotiating a PFD for an 6 year old dept.  The negative tradeline was removed entirely from my report.   My credit score has not gone up or down.  I have had multiple conversations with Experian trying to determine when and if my score will improve.  I was told to wait a few days by one rep and a few months by another.  The negative trade line was removed very quickly, why no update on the score?  I have spent several hours on this site trying to figure this out so could some one point me in the right direction.   Thanks.

After lurking for a few months, I had to join today to share my good news.  I am in the process of fixing my credit.  I have one credit care Premier, and yes it sucks.  However I paid my bill in full last month and the previous month.  I ran my updated credit score today and guess what?  My score jumped 71 pts.  I am so freaking happy.

Here is the deal I’m 23 and recently graduated

I don’t have any major negatives just some late payments on credit cards

Right now my score is 450 ish but thats because of 60-90 day late payments

I have 4 cards and paid off 3 off them and 4th one will be done

only things remaining will be basically an 8k auto loan which is current and 40k in student loans that will be current by the end of the month

if i pay everything on time and dont use any revolving credit for a while or sparingly how fast can I get to 650 ish

I don’ t have any big negatives like repos or charge offs bankruptcy or settlements etc…just late payments

few months? a year? few years?

I’d like to get to 700 plus but short term is 650 possible? I’m thinking February 2011 is my goal

Paid off my last two old badies (They were going to fall off in the next few months or so anyways…) How long do you guys find it takes for them to show the collections paid on your CR? After paying.

Thanks

Oh, one is a medical bill and one is and old electric bill.

I was the secondary person on this car and my ex was the main person. I went away for a little bit and she got the car repoed. What must I do at this point. I didnt want to call them. We only had the car for about a year and a few months
