Good Morning,

My credit report is getting to be in a “happy place”, but I need assistance on the last item (saving the best for last kind of thing).

I have a judgement in the amount of 1506.02  – searched for the exact amount on the website that the county offers. Filed on is 4/2004 (Doesn’t show up on CR as a judgement – date of default was 3/2004).

The collection agency is reporting for the same debt in the amount of 2604 – DOFD is 5/2004 and shows up as a collection.

My question is…do I pay the court or the CA? I’m 100% unsure of how to proceed.

Hi Everyone,

One of the CB’s has my student loans reported twice.  I have 9 student loans, and they are all reported separate.  I had a few late payments back in 2006, so that’s 9 dings on my credit report.  However, the student loan as since been sold to another bank.  The new bank, SallieMae, has reported all the the old payment history as theirs… and the old bank, GA Student Finance Commission, is still listed on my credit report with the exact same payment history.  So now I have 18 dings on my credit report instead of 9.  I’m being hit twice for the exact same late payment.  It’s pulled my FICO score down 25 points.  Shouldn’t the one late payment only be listed once, not twice?  How do I fix this?

Thanks

Hi Everyone-

This is my first post but not my first time on the forums. I never have to ask anything because there’s usually someone on the forums with the same questions that I have. But I couldn’t find the exact answer to my problem anywhere, so I thought I’d share.

My next to last baddie (I have paid a charge-off set to fall off by 8/11) had a deletion date of 8/10 on my Experian report. I checked today and it was still there, and I read somewhere on this forum that Experian usually removed them closer to the end of the month. I also read that just because the date was listed on your report as such, it didn’t necessarily mean that it was the date that the tradeline was supposed to be removed. Many times the bureaus would change the date based on updated information. With that in mind, I didn’t formally dispute the date. :smileyindifferent:

However, because I need to move by the end of the month (and SafeRent uses Experian), I needed this charge-off removed ASAP. So I simply called the Experian dispute line, (dialed “0″ a million times), and asked the service representative when the exact date was that I should expect this item to fall off. She said that it was scheduled to be removed today but it wouldn’t formally leave my report until the end of the month. But because I called her today, she would have it removed within the next 24 to 72 hours. She then asked me if I would like an email confirmation that this item had been removed! *gasp*

Might I also add that she was very courteous and polite, and handled my concerns swiftly. I never formally asked for a dispute- I only referred to the line item on my credit report- and she handled it right then and there. I immediately hung up the phone and did somersaults across the living room floor. I then checked my report and it said that the item was in dispute.  I checked again three hours later it had been completely removed from my report. Needless to say I am still in complete shock as I didn’t expect this from Experian. I only wish that I’d press “yes” for the customer satisfaction survey before I began my customer service interaction.

I wish I knew when Equifax was set to remove the same tradeline- but I’ll let sleeping dogs lie…

The agents are very interested in my family has sold life insurance, rather than the term of office. They said, life is a better term, because it has expired, is to ensure that the beneficiaries after the death of the insured person a portion of the money. However, because such an approach for the profits of insurance companies, if they are required to repay the amount at least equal to the total? I tried to do some research on my own, but I still can not fully understand the question. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
