I don’t know why I haven’t bothered notifying EQ sooner, but my old (paid) CO account with JC Penney is being reported twice.

They entered the dispute for me via telephone this afternoon and it should update within 30 days.  I’m curious if I’ll get a bump in score?!

I paid the account off in full and have been GW’ing the heck out of them for MONTHS!  I sure hope for Christmas this year I get a deleted TL from GECRA <3

I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy about a year ago. Since then I have landed a great sales job making 75k a year, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t even be able to get a car loan if something happens to mine. What is the best strategy for rebuilding your credit.

Newbie here cleaning up my credit and trying to get into a home purchase eventually.  My house was foreclosed about 2.5 years ago.  I have pulled my 3 credit reports from EQ(609), EX(639), and TU(713) by signing up on their web sites directly.  Trying to clean some thing up I notice on my foreclosure from EQ has the status as 120+ days past due and not foreclosed.  The comments state the Foreclosure process is started.  The Scheduled Payment Amount amount is not correct and the account number does not come close to matching the loan number I had.

The EX credit report shows the Foreclosure starting when I stopped payment and not when the home was actually foreclosed.  It also has the same account number as EQ which is way different than the loan number on my paper work.

The TU report shows the same wrong account number, same wrong monthly payment, a different opened date (by a few days) than the EX report and the payment status as Late 120 days.

My question is for the EQ and TU report that show 120+ days late does the credit report show it as foreclosed?  Is it worth trying to dispute if I can show my payment was $ 50 more than what they have?  Do I dispute online or via mail?  I would appreciate any advice, I have about 12 negative items on my report from 30 days late to 1 item in collections mostly from 06-07 and the foreclosure from 09.

I was in school when I had filed. Now I want to begin the process of getting my credit score back to about 700 to 750 range. What is the quickest way of doing this?

Can someone give me website for a credit card that’s given to people with poor credit. Im not too concerned with the interest rate b/c i plan on paying it off monthly, but i would like no annual fees.
Also, I’d like a card where i don’t have to deposit money to use it.

After looking at post for the past three years  I got to thinking where do the 3 CB fall as far as which has the highest to the lowest?

It seems to me from the post that alot of people have a higher score on their TU and EX scores compared to their EQ score….EQ seems to always be the lowest score.

Anyone else ever noticed this?

Credit mortgage

We are in the process of a getting a mortgage. The processor needs a credit inquiry letter for 3 recent credit inquiries. The one is from a credit card company.

The problem is, we have’t applied for a credit card recently. So we don’t know why this credit inquiry is on our report or how to explain it. We haven’t acquired any new debt.

How do we explain this on a credit inquiry letter?

I had disputed a Verizon account on my Experian report and it was fully deleted today I am so happy right now that was only negative thing on any of my reports so now I just have to manage my cards and I will have great credit my fako score as of today is eq 706 ex 706 tu 709 up from the 680 for all of them my tu fico is 661

I’m trying to get a car under $ 5000.00 and some small dealership have this ” in house financing”. I’m sure the interest rates are high but I was wondering if they will really improve my score? Of course by paying on time.

Thanks!

Hello!

I had an iterview with financial institution recently. They pulled my credit report as a part of their screening process. The problem is – I have initial 90 day fraud alert added to all 4 credit bureaus. Will this be an issue? I am afraid I wont pass the credit check….

Thanks!

I pay about $ 2000 a month for credit cards and another $ 2000 for mortgage payment. If I’m going to lose my job and can only afford one and not the other, what’s more important to pay off?
If I was to lose my job.

I have 2 tradelines that are truelly not mine but have been verified after disputing. Is there a way to get them fixed? Also, I have a couple dismissed BK’s from 01 on EQ, any way to get them off? Thanks a lot.

I’ve gotten responses from both EQ and EX on preHIPAA letters and other late payment disputes but absolutely nothing from TU.  It’s only been 2 weeks but you’d think they would have sent me SOMETHING!  I don’t want to send in the HIPAA letter to the OC’s until I get the verifications of each MED collection from all 3 of the CRA’s.

I’m working very, very hard to clean up the credit mess I made when I left for college 10 years ago. Two charge-offs (Discover and a retail credit card), a scatter of medical bills that I don’t recall ever receiving, and eventually a student loan that defaulted in 2006. Here’s my question (or questions): First, my TU score is bizarrely lower than both by EQ and EX (and those vary by nearly 40 points). I have no idea whatsoever what the medical accounts in collections might be (they’re from 2006), and disputed them on both EX and EQ. TU apparently cannot verify my identity and thus I’ve been utterly unable to do anything with the report and its myriad inaccuracies. Worse, TU doesn’t even have the correct address, phone number, recent employers, and so forth listed.

Having recently been approved for a Capital One card, even with a miserably low line available, both my FAKO EX score and EQ score increased by over 30 points relatively quickly. However, I don’t know what to do with TU. I was able to view through that there were allegedly 10 negative items on my TU report compared to 3 currently with EX and EQ, but I cannot dispute them because TU states I cannot verify my identity,

I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Has anyone else had any experience with anything like this, and if so– how did you handle it?
