Hi all. I have a paid collection and letters from OC and CA showing that they have agreed to remove the entry from credit report. It has been 20 business days and the entry is still there. Can I contact CRA myself directly to have it removed? Thanks.

I have a paid charge-off with Macy’s that shouldn’t be falling off until early 2013.  I went into experian today and the entry is gone!  I haven’t sent them any goodwill letters recently – the last one was faxed on April 1st, and before that it was almost a year since I contacted them – so I have no idea why it was deleted.  I can re-pull transunion in a few days so I’ll check if it’s deleted from that too.  Has this happened to anybody else recently?  I’m thrilled, but also confused.  Hopefully it’s not just a one-day glitch!

I sent Midland Credit Management 2 separate DV letters CMRRR  Midland completely ignored both of my request. So I sent Experian a letter along with copies of the letters I sent to Midland ( also sent ) CMRRR requesting them to remove the inaccurate information from my credit report. and all they did was update the entry as disupted. No one can prove to me that this is my debt, but Experian continues to report it. any suggestions?

I  DV’ed NCO for a collection that they were reporting on my credit reports. Last week NCO removed the entry from all the credit reports and then today I got the validation letter from them. It is an accurate debt and I am ready to PIF.

My question is whether their collection account will re-appear in my credit report after I pay them? Has anyone had any similar experiences?

thanks in advance!

In another post, I expressed how crappy I feel.  I just got a 60 day late on my student loan, it literally slipped my mind.  How much success if any has anyone had getting a late deleted?  I just came out of rehabilitation with these guys and I’m hoping they’ll work with me.

I called and got the address, wrote a long letter w/ a copy of their entry to my credit report.  Has ANYONE had any luck with them?

Thank You!

BTW, it was a 40 point drop on my FICO from ONE 60 day late!!!!!

Like many here, I emailed AFNI (general email address obtained from their website) and asked them remove their entry ($240, paid in full last year). I immediately got a response that they’d remove it.

Today, after 7 days I checked my credit report and it’s gone!

thanks for the tip folks…this forum rocks!

Ok, so am I the only person this didn’t work for? I have sent a PFD and received a reply that they would on 3 different occasions, just like everyone else. However, they haven’t deleted the entry. Anyone else have the same problem as me?

I have an old paid medical collection account from 2005. It is still being reported on my CRs. I did some light Googling but can’t find a clear answer about the SOL as far as reporting is concerned. I think the SOL is 4 years, but is that for collecting or reporting? Should I dispute the entry on my CRs as past the SOL? Also- I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I lived in Nevada when the debt was incurred, I’ve since moved to CA.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
