My FICO score is below 700 because I have a small claims court judgment from 4 years ago posted in my credit reports.  However, this small claims case  had nothing to do with my credit risk.  The case involved a minor auto collision where the driver was claiming $4,000 in vehicle damage which I disputed.  The small claims judge agreed with me and only awarded the driver $800.00.  In effect, I won, yet this record appears as a negative on my credit report and FICO.

The public record of this judgment has nothing whatsoever to do with my credit worthiness, e.g. a bankruptcy or tax lien.  Yet it is harming my credit score. Is there anything I can do?
