The below URL is revelaing as to how the financial power brokers benefit from TARP when selling a “short sale” to the public.  If this is what the Feds intended it is a disgrace.  If this is an example of big government programs leading to unintended consequences it is a disgrace.  Anyway you slice it is a disgrace.  And as a conservative independent registered voter I am a strong proponent of a free market system.  But when the government intervenes – Katy bar the door!

I thought I’d share my recovery plan and see what others may be doing.

11/24/10 FICO:

EX 590 TU 559 EQ 531

Short Goal FICO:

640+ x3

Long Goal FICO:

760+ x3

1) Capital One -  Secured card on the way!  $200 CL for now.  Expected to arrive on or about Dec 12th.  Will make regular deposits to increase the CL.  Short goal of $1,000.00.

2) PenFCU - Accepted my application for membership.  No credit was extended but it will be a good place to have my foot in the door for later on…  Credit re-pull avail after 6 mos.

3) PSECU - Will be applying using the PRPS method in a couple weeks.  Another good place to have my foot in the door for later.

4) NavyFCU - Will be applying for membership in two weeks and requesting a secured card based on a $200 deposit.  Will make regular deposits to grow this to $1,000.00 also.

5) SSFCU - Member.  Will take advantage of share-secured loans to pay off some of my smaller debts in full using the PFD method.  Will also try using this method to attempt settlement on some of my larger debts.  Two birds, one stone.

6) Disputes and GWs like crazy on anything that’s left.  Pay ALL bills on time, forever.

7) Get a house.

8) Get a car.

9) Get unsecured credit cards with high CLs.

10) Wallow in self-accomplishment.  :smileyvery-happy:

The End

First post to this forum.

I have an old judgment from being evicted.  I learned about it from CRA.  Shows up as a “Civil claim judgment” on EX for $1326.  The date filed was 06/14/2004.   I never even heard of a judgment until I read about it on this site.

I hated the place; it was dangerous, I quite paying rent for several months and then moved.  I remember the court paper on the door while I was in the process of moving out. I never even read it, just ripped it off the door and continued with my move.  From what I gather a default judgment was place against me because I did not bother to show up to court? I was young and stupid, many years later now I am just stupid.

I live in Macomb County, Mi and I have never had any type of garnishment or any pressure to pay.  Why not?  Who is supposed to hunt me down?  I have read about the term Statute of Limitations and am still not clear if it is 7 or 10 years and if that means it falls off my credit report regardless of it being paid or not paid.  Will I get charge interest if I try and pay up now. What should I do?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  In the mean time I will continue to study this forum to try and clear things up a bit.

 Thanks

So I have an account that is, I think about 8+ years old that has recently dropped off of all 3 of my credit reports :) The thing is, I am still getting contacted by the CA, so my question is how do I go about closing the door on this for good?

From reading other posts, I am thinking I will need to send something directly to the CA?  I don’t want them to start reporting it again, obviously so any help is appreciated!

First, I absolutely love this site!!!! Thanks to all the wonderful folks who help compile all the valuable information!

I applied for a Barklay’s Carnival Visa over the weekend…and got denied.  I called the back door number 30mins ago…and after 5 minutes I was reconsidered and approved for a $1500 CL.  Excellent!

They work! :)

This is a wooden door garage. 250. To replace it. Compatible with life insurance on the house. To do so, overwrite it?
