When I started with you guys, I tried to be steadfast on sending out letters etc, but it became to hard to do it by myself, BUT I am glad to say that these types of letters and disputes do in fact work wonders. I have had 61 deletions (total from all three agencies, includinig inquiries) deleted since January 2010. There are still more, but it is getting there….

Now I know my good debt is high (if you want to call it ‘good’ – student loans and all current credit cards plus car loan), but will my credit score ever get to where I want it to be. The student loans are not going anywhere any time soon, you know?! But the left over baddies, I am confident, will eventually come off.

Right now, my experian (from their site) is 643 and my equifax is 677. I am not sure what my transunion is… will I get their if the other baddies drop, or will my debt keep me low even if the baddies go away?

You guys are doing exactly what these repair places do, but you are saving money. I wish I had the patience to do it myself. Keep up the good work!!!

Getting there, Liz

Title says it all.  I have a paid collection from National Fitness from Jan of 2008 paid in march of 2009.  I don’t dispute this at all, it’s just a really crappy situation as I HAVE paid them (settled) but they keep saying over the phone that they don’t ever do any deletions.  I asked two different people if they would consider making a deletion on this and just ran into a brick wall.  I know I should write letters for GW at this point, has anyone had any success with this for National Fitness?

THANKS!!!!

In the last week I have sent out about 25 GW letters requesting the deletion of late payments on various accounts. Now I’m playing the waiting game and I’m curious when other success stories have seen the deletions. I know some people have never received a response at all, but the late was still deleted. So generally, if successful, is there a general timeframe of when the deletion will probably happen? Is it possible to see something within days, weeks, months, etc? Basically, should I stop obsessively checking my credit report every day? haha :)

I’ve been working very hard to improve my scores, since March of last year actually.  I’m finally starting to see some big improvements on my TU score.  It went from 622 on 7/16 to 669 today.  However, EQ continues to be a huge thorn in my side – from 601 on 7/16 to 618 on 7/30 to 611 today.  EQ is just so abolutely, positvely the slowest organization (if that word actually applies) on the face of this great earth.  I don’t know why it takes them forever to process my deletions and upwards of 45 days to process disputes.  I just don’t understand how there can be such a huge gap in these scores.

I could just scream sometimes!:smileysurprised:

I made over the phone settlement offers with all my chargeoffs.  I got all but two to send that in writing.  I asked for a pay for delete but never had any luck.  I have received all my letters, the money orders have gone out and I sent them all CMRR.  My question now is, did I jump the gun and not send letter to settle with PFD’s??? The chargeoffs were less than a year old.  Most were with collection agencies but only one of those collection agencies was reporting on the credit report.  The other chargeoffs still show with the OC.  Once they are paid, will I be able to successfully go back and ask for the deletions?  I asked Barclays Bank already and they won’t delete.  I am wondering if the orignial creditors won’t delete it is only the collection agenices that delete????

Second Question:

I didn’t get my scores here, but did true credit, and those are TU 599, EXP 594, and EQU 602.  When I applied for a mortgage just 3 weeks ago was told my score was 484.  The chargeoffs arent showing paid yet, so why did he get an unbelievably low score, and I see these scores which are very shy of the 620 I need???  I have 2 other open trade lines that have been on time since January 2010.  I know this will take time, but once all the chargeoffs show paid, am I going to be able to get the boost in my score like I need?

We are thinking if we wait until next February or March, with our on time payments we should get the boost we need.  Of course, I am not patient and would like it before that.  Anyone been there done this and see the increase I need?

Hello.  I’m hoping somebody here could help me on this problem.

I made a online dispute at the equifax website on June 23, 2010.  I got my first Dispute Status Notification on June 26, 2010 and the dispute was completed on July 29, 2010.

Transunion came back quickly and deleted the things i wanted deleted, but Equifax says the items are legit.

The e-mails they sent say that they have up to 45 days to come up with a result, but i thought that was only if you sent the request from a 3rd party site.  My understanding was that if you initiate it directly with them they need to have an answer in 30 days or they have to delete?

I’d really like to get these things deleted so it’d be a huge help if anybody could clarify that for me and point me in the right direction for how to contact equifax regarding that and then also what my reasoning should be for their deletions.

any help would be very much appreciated.

A little time and some disputes have gotten me from a 560 last year to a 640 this year (transunion… equifax still has me at 611).  I’m plugging away though… i want my credit to be clean again….  these deletions will be huge if i can get them.

thanks!

I’ve gotten 2 CA letters stating that they will delete, but haven’t seen the change in my scores or the reports.  How long does it generally take to see the effects of the deletions.

I disputed some items on my credit report and just found that they were deleted……only from Transunion. Do/Should I wait til the others delete or do/should I notify them of the deletions on Transunion? ( Does this make sense)

I did dispute to all three regarding the same errors.
