Some stupid CA has an old cell bill that’s paid in full on my CR and it’s showing as a negative.  I called to ask what it was all about and they told me it was an old T Mobile account.  This is a valid post against me, I DID have a T Mobile go into collections.  How much is this pulling my credit down?

I asked the lady who I could write to to ask for deletion since I’d paid it so long ago (late 2008).  She said she could submit a request in her company and to check back in 10 days on my credit report and if it was gone it worked, if not “hey, at least we tried, right?”  Did I just make a huge error?  Is she blowing sunshine up my butt?

Do I write a letter now?

THANK YOU!!!

i have three 10 year old items showing on my credit, not reported bad or late. just there. i don’t know whether to remove them or not and who do i contact the creditor or the agencies. i don’t know if they are doing me good or bad at this point. they are loans from american general that i had in 2000. i know one of them was included in my BK in 2000 but does list as a negative.

and thanks for all the advice i have received so far, can’t wait to finish this thing up and start contributing to the forum. I mailed a few GW letters today for some paid small co-pay things that were listed on my report. Hoping for a deletion since they were so small. 34 dollars and 45 dollars. little things like that really stick it to you.

Thanks again
