Late payments, but im a cosignor.
Hi everyone! Was just wondering about this situation. I have been a cosignor on a $2000 loan from BOA for like 6 years or so. For 4 years it had horrible payment history. Deliquency, late late, late, etc. For the last 12 months or so, the account has been completely current though. The account is almost payed off and I was wondering if I have my name removed as a cosignor would it help or harm my credit?

Why does transunion say I dont have a score
When I went to my mortgage lender they pulled a tri merge report and transunion does not give me a score. When I went onto truecredit through transunion it gives me the highest score than the other 2 . Why does it do that and can I request transunion to start giving me a score when my credit is pulled for a loan

Which to pay first?
I have 3 credit cards and one charge off on my credit and I'm wondering which to pay first to improve my credit score quickly. I have to buy a new car in the next few months because mine is getting old and costing me more than it's worth. Card #1 - owe $230 at 9% interest Card #2 - owe $235 at 9% interest Card #3 - owe $561 at 11% interest (this card is closed) Charge off - owe $521 (no interest, obviously). This shows up under the "accounts" section of my credit report, not under collections. The description is "charge off/bad debt" and they ARE reporting my current balance and payments My current score with Equifax is 679. I've done the FICO Score Simulator with the credit card debt, but I haven't been able to find any advice/information on what paying off a charge off will eventually do to your score. I know in the short term it could hurt me, but will I be able to recover in 4 months, which is when I plan to buy a car. So right now, I am making payments on all accounts and have been current on all accounts since September 2007. Should I put more towards the credit cards or the charge off? THANKS for any knowledge you can impart!

Rebuilding/USDA Mortgage Readiness Questions
I just found these forums and am so excited to get started on my credit rebuilding journey! Long story short, my husband and I spent our college years opening credit cards and not making on-time payments. We closed everything down in 2005 when we got married and started making payments through a credit management agency and made our last payment this month. I then pulled our credit reports and was a bit disheartened to see that our scores were 548 and 530. There were 3 collections accounts for small outstanding bills (2 through afni, which I paid yesterday) and 1 which was paid off in 2005 but subsequently sold to a collections agency (Asset Acceptance LLC) who claims that I owe them $2500, and which is scheduled to remain on record until July of 2010. We currently have no open credit cards.

Getting CA account deleted after paying in FULL
I have 3 collection accounts that I recently paid in full without first negotiating them to delete after it was paid. This was a huge error on my part because I found this website the day after I paid these accounts. They are as follows: 1. RJM Acquisitions - paid in full $464.00 from 2005 overdraft account, just received a letter yesterday stating the account will be reported as paid in full .

Changing angles on a GW letter
I have two paid collections with the same, small, local collection agency for two medical bills from 2008, placed in CA 2009. Being local, it's not a big city thing where my letters can wind up on multiple desks and I have a better shot at someone new looking at the letter. I sent one letter regarding both the accounts pleading my case for improving my credit, not a reflection of my credit worthiness (here and now---not three years back when I was younger and thus my current situation with my score ;0 ).

Need Advice: Call or Write
Hello All, I need some advice on how to proceed with contacting two Creditors about deleting some 30 days & 60 Day late pays from my CR( all of which happened in Oct & Aug 09). I want to apply for a mortgage in the next few months. I've had some credit issues in the past obviously and I'm desperately trying to get to 620 in order to apply for a mortgage. My current score is EQ:560. I also will need to pay down some of my credit cards in order to increase my score. This won't be a problem to do within the next 60 days.
