financed by lending institutions; banks, credit unions, savings & loans, insurance companies, mortgage companies, or any other source of financing. I have seen an internet offer to provide a list of these, where a person with a camera(digital preferred)and internet access can contract to provide these records. Before sending any money for this source of companies, I thought I would publish this question to ascertain the validity of such an enterprize. Anyone doing this? I’ll not expect answers from the Metro Atlanta area as I would be competing in this market, especially northwest Metro. If there are positive answers, are the reports of earning $ 60-80 or more per report realistic? Also, are car expenses reimbursed? Thanks To Anyone Responding!!! James Anderson

My question is who offers debt consolidation loans anymore?  I beling to USAA but they only offer personal loans, or secured loans.  Does any banks or credit unions still offer debt consolidation loans?

Credit mortgage
byMANILA IMPERIAL MOTOR SALES . . . .

I’m looking for a list of cities in Southern California that offer the MCC (Mortgage Credit Certificate). Does anyone know where I can find one?

So, I got approved for the Capital One secured card last week (in the mail) and just got membership in NavyFCU.  Will be getting their secured card once I have a deposit on file.  I’m thinking about getting a few more if possible also…

Does anyone know about the reputation of any of these CUs?  I searched around online and found that all of these CUs offer secured credit cards and based on their membership requirements I’d be able to gain access.  Please share your experience with these organizations.

Hello,

I was wondering if I can get some insight on Equifax and Transunion lenders. I have the least inquiries on those two credit bureaus so I’m definitely trying to stay away from Experian. My scores are also higher on EQ and TU.

I’m in CA so I know that makes a difference sometimes with some lenders.

I know some credit unions

USAA (EQ)

PenFed (EQ)

Alliant (EQ)

I know some cards

Nationwide (TU)

Barclay (TU)

Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Just wanted to share, this might help some people out who are monitoring their FICOs! If you are in the PA area,  if you join the credit union PSECU (you do NOT have to be a PA state employee) you can sign up for a FREE online FICO update through online banking each month and its totally free.  I got my Trans Union score this month on the 15th and it even logs a chart updating your progress month to month.  Very neat feature through this bank.

Consider switching!:smileyhappy:

Just wanted to let you know if you are in the area and want to take advantage of this feature. Even if you’re not, check with your local credit unions and ask if they have this feature. Maybe they do?

YAY! Thanks to the help I’ve gotten from here I’ve raised my score 112 points in 6 weeks.

A couple days ago I found something I wanted for my car. No, not rims. I was trying to find a way to buy this $800 item so i thought a personal loan would work. And its not just for the car. This is also a way for me to build credit. So for the next 11 months, I pay $50. Cant wait to cross the 700 mark!!

By the way, its true. Credit Unions seem to be easier to get a small loan from.  What I did to make sure my chances were good and so this wouldnt put another inquiry on my report was I printed out my credit reports along with MYFICO credit score. I took all that to the credit union and said “don’t run my credit unless you’re sure I will get the loan because I dont want my score to be dinged just to be rejected.”  They were confident so I filled out the forms. And got it!

hoping this is the right forum for this…

i am wanting to join a credit union to help in rebuilding…get a checking/savings so i can try for a credit card with them…

problem is is that there are 4 locally and i can not join any of them…

are there any national credit unions that first off i can join and secong off that are worth my time and can trust will help me rebuild?
