I have an auto repossesion from 7 years ago when I was very young.  I am trying to buy my first home but this judgment still shows as “public record”.  it does not show as charge off or negative accounts anymore.   A couple things im trying to understand.

1.  This Judgment shows it will be removed in 10 months.  Is it better to wait and see if falls off or pay it?

2.  The amount the judgment has listed is inaccurate ($7,720).  I have paid 3,000 already several years ago but i dont see any indication of that.

3.  All 3 credit bereaus show different “estimated removal dates” ranging from 1/2012 to 3/2013. why do they have different removal dates?

4. and last but not least. If i dispute the “public records” of judgment on my credit reports, will that REOPEN the judgment for possible renewal and i have to wait another 7-10 years for its removal?

other than this judgment, i only have 2 other small negative accounts ($99 & 400) which i will pay off next week. In hopes of buying my first home

I disputed a couple things for reporting incorrectly almost 2 months ago, if not longer.

1.  How can I find the date i made the dispute (other than sifting through the mountain of paperwork I have)?

2.  If they have been in status “disputed by subscriber” for more than 2 months, what do I do now?  Call the CB?

Wow. I’m beyond stunned right now.

I had successfully PFD’d all my baddies with outstanding balances. I had GW’d a couple things, but most of my stuff was paid off with derogs.

I had one collection account that had popped up that I had a PFD with, but it hadn’t dropped off the reports yet. I had also just hit the one year mark from getting all caught up on anything I had late, and had opened a $500 limit credit card with CapOne in May, so I decided to pull Equifax just now – and my score went from 612 to 714!!!!!!!!!!!

I pulled TransUnion, but it’s still at 622 – the collection is still listed. I figure I’ll wait a week and pull it again. I have a deletion agreement in writing from the CA, and it appears they already moved forward with EQ, so thinking TU may just be a few days behind.

I cannot believe it. Thank you so much to everyone here who gave (and continues to give) me such great help and advice.

I just got an alert from TransUnion because Sears/Citi did an inquiry.   I did not request a CLI.

However, I did do a couple things yesterday -

1 – paid my balance in full

2- requested a replacement card

Could either of those reasons have caused it?

Going to stick it in the sock drawer for now.  i had cut up most of my cards a few months back so i wouldnt be tempted to use them until they were all PIF. I had been carrying month to month balances for the last 18 months or so. NEVER AGAIN!

Also, is this inq a hard pull since I got an alert on it?  Alert is not from scorewatch although I subscribe to that as well.  This is from FAKO – truecredit.  I use them as well so I can pull my reports daily.  I’m OCD with my credit scores right now as I have taken a huge hit due to special forbearance/loan modification process. Hopefully that will get resolved soon too. I am in review this week to get switched from an inhouse special forbearance to a perm modification.

On the positive side, as of today I am debt free minus my mortgage and car loan.  Doing a major happy dance. Worked very hard to get to this day!!!!:smileyvery-happy:
