This is an alternative to our dependacy of OIL. Look what’s going on presently with the Gulf and the answer is obvious. Americans need things like 9/11…for the obvious to take shape. We need our lame **bleep** government to step up, demand that automakers use this and in turn cut our dependacy on OIL. Year after year, decade after decade, we (american government) tosses around the idea, but never commits..it’s about time, the time is NOW.
Government would need to mandate that all automakers produce 50% of their vehicles as alternative fuel (however, lithium, corn…???), an incentive (gravy)…would be a tax incentive for people who purchase these vehicles…….Mandate that this happens by say 2012…within two years we can have started to rid our earth of gas guzzling, smog generating vehicles. Saving us (americans) energy (money) and pollution….etc. This will also reduce our dependacy on OIL, thus needing less.
It would be nice for america to develop a (viable) product and make gas (oil) almost absolete and thus have the arabs (who have been profiting off of americans for generations). We can now hold our new (working) technology over their heads (charge them for our technology, ridiculous prices)…..We all know the ARABS aren’t interested in us developing new fuel source, because then who will they sell their oil to… (I’ll bet the prices go down real quick)
The arabs are complacent with the idea that we (americans) are so dependant, so they hold the upper hand. Our government does nothing. Prices (gas) will continue to rise. The time is NOW
