Hi all!

I’ve got some tax liens for some state tax that, through ignorance, I had left unpaid.  I’m now paying the price and have already had 2 deleted through disputes…. I had 6 originally, 3 for the actual lien, 3 for the late fee that the state reported as a lien… I’ve rebuilt my credit about 100 points in the last year and planning on trying for a home in the spring.  I’ve gone through one company to dispute, but would either like to do it myself or hire a company that has more experience disputing liens.  The company I’m going though is more of a credit cleanup service and they don’t have a lot of experience with liens.  Does anyone have any advice about what my next step should be? Thanks!

Good Bye to Mercury;
  what fond memories, it was one of the easiest cars of the 1950′s to “hotrod”, it already had a bigass V8 engine, so all you had to do was
   change the exhaust system and carburation,and if you had a merc with stickshift and overdrive, you had yourself a fine machine.
    l had a”54 hardtop/ red&white with tuck&roll naugahyde upholstery, and as a kid living in LA access to the best of making my car
  really “fine”

This might sound like a stupid question but if theortically speaking, one were to apply for a CC from a bank he/she defaulted on which was sold to a CA, would the bank automatically turn the applicant down? Is there a way for their “system” to check if this person already had an account established with the bank in the past?

Thoughts?  Thanks!

I sent Experian a request for info in my credit file with a request for DOFD, and all other info they had. Well, I received a copy of my credit report that I already had a copy of. When I called the CSR advised me that if I want info about the debt I needed to contact the collection agency, they don’t provide dofd. We went round and round about fcra but she says I need to contact the collection agency. Is there something else I should have done?
