I have a $575 collection account showing on my EQ with Allied Interstate/Directv as the CA. Â Recently I received a letter from AFNI, another CA for the same debt. Who do you suggest I contatc to DV and PFD? Â

If AFNI now has this account, then how will I get the Allied Interstate collection off of my CR, after I settle up with AFNI? Â I’m a newbie, and I need some expert guidance.
I am happy this account is not reported to TU anymore as TU was my lowest of the three FICO scores… however, what is being reported to the other two CRA is wrong. Not sure how to handle this… I am afraid if I dispute it, the account will wind back up on TU.Â

LVNV is the CA, Resurgent cashed the first check written to Northland Group, transferred the account to Allied in the middle of my payment plan, and I paid Allied Interstate in the end.

I have sent a GW e-mail to Resurgent. Should I GW Allied Interstate instead? Neither are the reporting CA because LVNV goes by a bunch of different names.

Hello all, I am a newbie, my very first post so please be patient with me. I recently ordered my credit report from all 3 bureaus in hopes of getting my credit together. On them I see a debt for Premier Bankcard (OC) from the CA Allied Collection Svc. This debt jogged my memory of a letter I saved from CA Capital Mgmt Svcs, LP. The CA is also collecting this debt for the same OC and for the same dollar amount. The letter from Capital Mgmt is dated April 19. 2010, I pulled my reports in Sep/Oct 2010. Is this legal???? Only Allied is reporting this on my credit file as of now, but is there a loophole here? How can 2 different creditors try to collect for the same debt. PLEASE HELP

I posted here a few months ago when I got a call from Allied saying that I “defrauded” HSBC and was being sued. Turns out this was a complete scam. Basically this company goes around calling looking for you and when they get you on the phone are rude, pushy and seriously violate the FDCPA. After doing some internet research it seems like Allied Legal Services has done this to a number of people. They do not accept mail in payments, but instead ask for your checking account information to process a payment or make a payment plan.

I am looking into suing these guys for FDCPA violations, but cannot find ANY information on them whatsoever. They claim to have corporate offices in North Carolina and offices in Jacksonville, Florida but I haven’t found anything to support that.

Does anyone out there have info on these guys? I should note, that I do not believe this is Allied Interstate (another CA with a bad rep for violating the FDCPA) but rather Allied Legal Services.

Qwest confirmed with me today that they have corrected a billing error on our account that was sent to collections (they continued to bill on an account we had canceled).Â

They also confirmed that they reported this change to the CA, Allied, and that they instructed them to remove all negative comments from our credit report and to stop calling us.

Qwest said that Allied may take a “bit of time” to fix our records. My husband and I were on the verge of refinancing when this came about, and we don’t want to lose the opportunity to lock in at such low rates, especially when this was all the result of a customer service error.

Does anyone know how to speed things up with Allied so the delete happens in a timely manner?Â
Has anyone had any success with getting a gw response from Allied Bank or Credit One Bank? I have been sending gw letters and getting the same old b.s. answer from them. Does anyone have a working email address to a vp, president, or ceo?
