I have a CA that has been there since 06 in 2009 the creditor hired the same CA to collect which ended up changing the Date Assigned to 2009. How can I dispute this information? Should I contact the creditor first? I offered to do a PFD via telephone and the CA said that they don’t do that. The CA is CBCS  – should I retry?

The original date from the actual creditor is 2005.

Hey everyone!  Just wanna make sure I have this one correct?

If a CA reports a debt they purchased with an open date of 5/2008; date of status (w/e that is!) of 6/2008; reported since:  6/2008; and last reported date of 4/2009……and the actual DOFD from the ”OC” (was reporting charge off, but no longer on CR) was 6/2003…..is the CA in violation?

What can be done to remove?  Thanks.

I recently sent a DV letter to a collection agency, a week later a new collection agency pulled my credit with a hard inquiry. Can I get this deleted? I gave no authorization. Is this hard to get deleted? Should I dispute with Equifax or the actual collection agency. I doubt they would pull it back…

I had  goal to pay my studnet loans off in 5 years.  The first question I had was if my goal was realistic, and I wanted a way to track my progress to see if I was on track, or behind, and how much.  I made a spreadsheet to track my progess, and I think some people in this community might find it usefull.

On page 1 it shows my payoff schedule.  If you key in the original amount, and the interest, the excel spreedsheet does just about everything else for you.  All you have to do is key in the payment.  What is nice about this way, you can test certain payment plans based on your needs.  In my case, I want my payment to go up 3 years from now, since I will no longer have a car payment.  This is somthing that online calculators just can not do.

On page 2 I have the scheduled payment listed, and you can key in your actual payment.

Then the scheduled balance is listed, and you key in the actual balance from your student loans.  The information is automatically pulled from sheet 1, so it will tell you if you are behind or ahead, and by how much.  I have some subsidized loans right now, which the excel spreadsheed doesn’t know are subsidized, so I will really get ahead in the next 5 months.  There are some limitations to the spreadsheet.

Page 3

Lets you figure out your interest rate.  Key in the amount of the loan, and the interest rate, and it computes your average.  I also put a spot for interest rate tracking, so you can follow the changes in your interest rate.  If you are paying more than the minimum, and paying the extra towards your highest balance, then your interest rate will go down, so I though it would be cool to track.

I don’t know where I can host an excel file from.  If somebody can tell me where, I can upload the file tonight, so people can look at it.  I made this file specifically for my use, so I know it has its limitations, but this community has helped me out a lot, so if I can help out on person, then its worth giving back to the community.  If people want to download the file (once I find out where to upload it), I can take suggestions, and modify it to help out more people.  I know step one is to add a few more years, as a lot of people may not be able to pay off their student loans that fast.  Hopefully this post made sense, and I’m not breaking any rules by trying to upload a file.

I’m now currently working on my last unpaid collection account. The CA is Zenith Acquisition. I have sent them a DV letter mid year around May of last year and gotten a reply back from them with one page listing the credit card transactions dated in 2007 and a few in 2008. Its not the actual credit card statement from the OC, and does not list the OC account number. It just shows a report with columns of Date, Code, Amount Description and City. And then a list of transactions. Is this proper validation of the debt?

At the time I received this letter, I thought it was a good validation and have sent PFDs, but have not received any replies back to it. Now that im really focused on this last collection account, im having some doubts and questioning if this is proper validation or not. If this is not proper validation can I start again with another DV and go from there? I appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

I’ve been amzingly productive this month and have to pat myself on the back for all that I accomplished in cleaning my credit up.

BUT, so far the only thing reported are my current credit cards with $0 balances.

It has been I would say 2 weeks now since the last baddie I tackled and had removed, so should I wait to pull my score for 1month? 2 months? I am definately that person who needs instant gratification and I have little patients but that is also due to the constant instant success stories I keep reading where things are removed from peoples records within a week here.

Just not sure if I missed a step, I have not contacted the actual score reporting agencies myself, only the CAs and OCs.

I’m asking this on behalf of someone.

I recently intercepted a letter regarding a judgement that involves garnishment of my wages. I never received the actual judgement years ago and was told that I “signed” for it in an apartment I never lived in which made me miss a court date  I wasn’t aware of.  Funny thing is, I argued about this report with the agencies and it fell off and then returned again when I “signed for it

Questions are

How long can I hold onto this letter to figure out my mess? And what are my options? Should I talk to a lawyer or am I just out of luck?

Thank you for your time

Institute for Supply Management stated in their 12/3/10 report (my lynx is the actual printed, in black & white, news article from the 12/5 Philadelphia Inquirer . . . .  who needs computer lynxs ? ? ?) . . .

“The US service sector, which accounts for 88% of the nation’s workforce expanded for the 11th straight month in November, and at the fastest pace in six months.”

How can the private sector service industry be so successful in this anti business country, filled with all the burdensome business taxes  ? ? ? while the other industries claim they can’t . . . . .

So . . .  what’s the difference ? ? ?
