On my TU report a collection agency, Travelers Bank showing a balance of $718, bought this account from a previous collection agency, Portfolio Recovery. It was originally a Rooms to Go credit card account that went to Portfolio Recovery for collections and I settled with them for $502 back in 2007. But now Travelers Bank popped up with the original $718 balance on my TU report and the account number tracks back to Portfolio Recovery which tracks back to Room to Go, so I know this account was sold to Travelers Bank from Portfolio Recovery. Should the balance Travelers Bank is reporting be disputed to show $0/paid collection or should I dispute for deletion of the Travelers Bank altogether?
