When must a paid account be reported to credit reporting orgs?

Hi everyone;

 

I recently (30 days ago) paid several collection companies.  All but 1 show on current reports now as paid.

I called the 1 and they said that they will report the paid when they report it.  (He seemed really annoyed that I even existed)

 

When, if ever, do collection companies report paid accounts?
