Is it worth it?

Mar 122010

Hi all. wish I would have known about it years ago. Had to learn the hard way through trial and error, now I see that much of what I slowly learned on my own about credit repair can be found in one faq on this board lol. ah well.

It’s been a slow process coming up from the sub 500′s back in 2005 to where I am now due to my few years of irrespossible debt management, of the errors I did make I’ve been somewhat successful with removal. Mostly just by asking nicely. Though I wish I would have thought of PFD before :smileysad:

Brief summary of what I”m left with: All were PIF  back in 2006

August ’06 - Verizon (dsl) – EXP/TU

Dec. ’06 – BofA Credit Card Charge off – All 3

July ’05 – Collection with a CA, late rent – TU

Nov. ’05 – Collection with the lovely CPA(credit protection Association) via Comcast – EXP

Mar ’06 – few 1×30′s and a 1×90 on a secured loan through my CU AlaskaUSA  - EQ

Of all of these, BofA is the big one I wish I could get somewhere with. I’ve searched for suggestions with how to deal with them and I’ve tried my approach, tried GW letters, their just stone cold. Any suggestions?

The CA with the late rent debt, I freakin’ hate them, HATE! I paid that, they said they would take it off if I contested. They didn’t so I called in an complained to them, 30 days later it came off, this was 2006. On 2/15/2010 poof the account shows up on TU. Originally the account was only ever on EXP, has never been on EQ and now waahhlaaa its on TU. I called…..evil. I mean, just lying up their hoohaa to me. “I don’t know how it got on there sir, we always report our accounts each month every month, you’ll have to call Transunion!” …….I mean really, come on. hahaha.
