DV & GW Letters

Feb 192010

Hey guys..

How should DV (debt validation) letters and GW (good will) letters be mail? regular first class or should they be certified mail?

Below is a copy of my Good Will letter that I wrote on my own. Please tell me what you think of it.

Date: 02/19/2010

Regarding Account No. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

WFS / WACHOVIA DEALER SVS

P.O. BOX 1697

WINTERVILLE, NC 28590

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing a letter about my experience with WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs. This is grateful “thank-you” and request concerning negative information regarding a past account (auto loan) that I had with WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs.

I recently received a copy of all three of my credit reports (EQUIFAX, EXPERIAN, & TRANSUNION). I noticed on each of these reports, that the above account has filed negative information, stating that I was 30 days past due on this account 7 times, within the past 48 months of payment history stated on the credit reports.

Honestly I do not remember being late 7 time’s. I do know that during the times listed on my reports, that my wife and I were having some tough times, due to job loss and a couple other personal issues. Therefore, these statements on the reports could very well be true.

I do know that the car we purchased from the money WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs loaned us has been paid in full, and with a few exceptions… my payment history has been very credible with WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs. We also still own the car that we purchased with this loan.

I am not writing this letter to contest the negative information that has been applied to my credit reports, by WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs. I am just asking WFS / Wachovia Dealer Svs to please consider removing the negative past due payments from my credit reports.

Unfortunately we all have hard times / chaotic situations that occur from time to time. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. I hope you will consider my request. It was a pleasure doing business with you. I would look forward to doing business with you again. Thank you!

Sincerely,

My Name (ADDRESS BELOW)

XXXX XXXXXXXXXX XXX.

XXXXXXXXXX, XX XXXXX
