Because the government gives tax breaks, like its self-insurance plan provided by your employer? It is not that what McCain should be resolved?

Because the government gives tax breaks, like its self-insurance plan provided by your employer? It is not that what McCain should be resolved?
If a single-payer, government run health care option (yes, option, not monopoly) works in _every_ other wealthy, industrialized country in the world, why wouldn’t it work in the USA?
I’m just wondering.
That is the whole idea of Health Care reform, to allow people to purchase Health Insurance BUT at a reasonable cost.
McCain’s issue is about allowing interstate sale of Health Insurance instruments to help competition bring the cost down…which is a great idea; however, this also means that it creates a “diveristy jurisdictional” issue which essentially means the Federal Government is required to intercede in regulating and overseeing such commerce. So, those crying that the “States” should retain authority for Health Care under the 10th Amendment (10thers) will be very upset that Senator McCain is undermining their obstruction of this Bill.
Yes, Senator McCain proposed just such a deduction.
I don’t know whether it would work better or not, but a couple of things that would help would be tort reform, and not having certain things mandated that you may not want. For example, in New York State, chiropractic care must be covered, yet I have no desire for such coverage, so why must I be forced to pay for it?
Also, if people wouldn’t use their insurance for every little doctor visit, it might also drive the cost of insurance down.
