If a person renting a house while the fire at home and the tenant, property damage and / or destruction by fire, the tenant will be received from owners of insurance claims house arrest?
Depends on your agreement when you rented (like your contract) and if you have your own home insurance. I rent and have insurance on the contents but if the owner of the houe you are renting has insurance on the contents also, for exmple, if he/she planned to live there preivously then they could still claim {for you, if you didnt). Bare in mind if its in their name, funds may go to them, so becareful and document all events in case their is an eventual court case attendance.
In general: From the landlords coverage? No. You did not pay premium to have coverage under that policy. Therefore, you are not entitled to any type of payment from it. If the land lords policy has contents coverage – it is to protect their contents (stove, refrigerator etc) not your contents. And no, they can’t ask their insurance company to cover your contents. The land lord’s company will assign an adjuster to handle the claim. Go ahead and ask them if your contents will be covered. Does not hurt you to ask…but expect to be told no.
If you purchased a renters policy -yes. In this case you paid premium to have your belongings covered. Therefore, you would benefit under the policy.
No. The homeowners policy covers the homeowner. The renter’s policy covers the renter. If the renter wanted coverage for his stuff, he would have bought renters insurance.
There’s no coverage under homeowners, for renters stuff.
No. You have to have your own renters insurance to cover your belongings and a place to live.
Sorry.
