Happy Holidays everyone :smileyvery-happy:

I have 2 Orchard Bank credit cards.  One is a non-secured one that I got this year. The other is a secured one that I got in 2007.

I opened the secured one with a credit limit of $ 200 about 3 years ago and I’ve never asked for a credit limit increase OR for it to become unsecured because I’ve read that Orchard Bank cards dont usually do that anymore.

However, today when I checked my credit card balances to pay them,  I noticed that my $ 200 secured Orchard Bank card now had a credit limit of $ 300.  I was rather surprised because I didnt ask for this.  I know it’s not a huge increase by any means…but still to get one felt a little bit rewarding after the work I’ve been doing to turn my credit around for the past few years.

Anyway, my question is, does this mean that the card is no longer secured? I always thought that to get an increase on a secured account that you would have to deposit more money.  I tried calling Orchard Bank but their offices were closed and it’s hard for me to reach them because of my work hours. :smileysad:

thanks everyone
