Area Code List
- [As of 14 January 1995, Lima became area code 1 with 7-digit local
numbers; cellular subscriber phone numbers had the digit 9 prepended,
other local numbers had 4 prepended, and new local exchanges beginning
with other digits are being established. Other areas of Peru will be
standardised to 6-digit numbers during 1995; area codes outside Lima
are not changed (ITU OB#598)]
