- 1997-9 Change from 5 to 6 digit national numbers
- National numbers were expanded by an extra digit (from 5 digit
numbers to 6 digits) as of fall 1997.
- Conversion of exchanges to 6-digit number capability was scheduled
for 1997. 6-digit numbers should be available in all Greenland areas
since November 1997. Old 5-digit numbers will continue to be accepted
for calls within Greenland until 1999.
