I am with Progressive auto insurance hours, I arrived during the adjustment period, the company has taken note of me. The company applies a higher cost, I more than my previous contract, even though I have not changed anything, I’m still a good driver to maintain. I just want to know why they charge more than an update.

  1. Even though you have good record, they based the rates on last years claims. So if they paid out more in claims last year then expected, everyone will get a increase in the premium.

So now is the time to do some searching for a better quote with a different insurance company. Go online and look for a quote based on exactly what you have now. (have copy of your declaration page) this way you can input the exact coverage you have now and most likely if good record, will find another company cheaper.

    good luck

  2. look for another car ins co.

  3. Your premium is determined based on your driving history (credit history in some instances as well) and on the company’s overall claims experience in your area. If you did not have any accidents or moving violations this year, it is possible that Progressive had a lot of claims this year and this is causing your rate to increase.

If you are concerned with paying the higher premium, shop your policy. There could be some companies out there that have lower premiums than Progressive.
